Burn Rubber x Reebok Question Teaser

Who copped the Reebok Questions last night during the midnight release on the Reebok online store or today in-store? If you’re excited about the ‘Question’ and it’s potential, there’s a lot more on the way as Reebok will begin a string of collaborations with select retailers across the nation. First up is Burn Rubber, the Detroit-based mainstay who is most recently known for meshing grit and glam with it’s New Balance MT580 releases. Will we see the same theme for its Question collaboration? All we have is this teaser below, which reveals a black leather upper a black/grey splatter-paint midsole, and the Burn Rubber ‘chef’ logo on the heel. Like we mentioned before, there’s plenty more ‘Question’ fire headed our way soon, so keep it locked on to Sneaker News!

Reebok Pump Omni Lite HLS

We’ve known Reebok’s HLS-soled reduxes were on tap since late last year, but the Vector brand is taking their time with this update akin to Nike Sportswear’s LunarLon efforts.  The new lightweight bottoms show up again on another RBK classic, this time one you could easily picture with your eyes closed.  Or is that, you can picture them with eyes closed, as in the case of Dee Brown’s blindfolded 1991 Dunk Contest winner in the OG Pump Omni Lite?  The Reebok Pump Omni Lite HLS looks as expected when you consider what we’ve seen from the updated Ventilators and Insta Pump Furys, but this one also opts for a rebuilt and decidedly more angular upper that has the entire shoe feeling familiar but a heckuvalot sleeker.  Let us know how these compare to the original when you’re on the other side checking out more images, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for word on US availability.  via Sneaker Freaker

Celebrity Feet: Allen Iverson Reebok Question White/Red

During an extended inset chat with Lisa Salters that to everyone outside of the Boston area was likely the most emotionally engaging aspect of what has been to this point the less interesting Eastern Conference semifinal, 76ers legend Allen Iverson struggled to convey the importance of his connection to Philadelphia’s fans. AI avoided directly contradicting Kevin Garnett’s ‘fairweather’ comment and stuck to the facts, confessing that he nearly teared up while walking wobbly legged off the court after presenting the game ball in Wednesday night’s Sixers win. It’s difficult to put into words just how much of a difference the distance north on I-95 made in his life, but there is indeed an iconic sneaker synonymous with Iverson‘s memorable first season.

A good portion of rookie AI’s first campaign was played in this red-toed colorway of the Reebok Question, a sneaker that’s been around the block and back again, issued in a variety of retro and team-oriented renditions in the sixteen years since its debut. We got a similar drop back in 2009, but pearly toed pairs Iverson and Swizz Beatz have recently been spotted rocking are truer OGs than those suede-tipped joints. The timing of the May 25th release of one of the greatest non-Nike/Jordan basketball signatures now seems utterly magical with AI’s presence boosting the 76ers to a seventh and deciding game in Beantown the following day; let us know your plans to cop along with your take on which is more likely: a Philly win or an Iverson NBA comeback?  Photos: Yahoo!

Reebok ZigActivate

What Reebok ZigTech lacks in hype and campouts, it more than makes up for in high-tech performance and jaw-dropping looks.  Models like the one pictured above are the kind of thing you end up leaving the mall holding two pairs, having gone in just to see what’s new.  The Reebok ZigActivate not only features one of the most eye-catching midsole designs on the market, but it’s been enhanced by a three-color build featuring smooth fades between color sets like red/white/blue and blue/gole/white.  Add that to a heat-bonded synthetic upper and we’re dealing with the newest drops from RBK’s top-of-the-line runner, and you can see more photos of these new pairs after the jump below.  via SM

Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT 5/15 5/21

It appears that our ‘Classics Revisited’ segments have had a direct effect on our Sneaker News Blogs: WDYWT regulars, because three of the five Air Max 1s featured last week have popped up in this week’s Top 20! Furthermore, a sneakerhead out in the Netherlands shows us that he’s got the Air Force 1 game on complete lockdown, because three of his inclusions were worthy of this week’s twenty best (and we even left a couple out). The Reebok Question has been a trending sneaker, so we decided to cluster three sick Mid colorways as one. This week’s Sneaker News Blogs: Best of WDYWT is definitely one you shouldn’t miss out on, because we’ve got plenty more from Puma, Converse, Fila, and a plethora of Nike fire, so check ‘em all out below and vote for your fave at the very end!

One of Reebok’s most treasured pieces is coming back yet again this Friday, May 25th, at a select group of footwear retailers at an MSRP of $125; the red pearlized toe is an original issue and was available only in Philly, but luckily that isn’t the case for the upcoming release. Below is a detailed list of release events at a select number of retailers; if you’re situated anywhere near these notable spots, it would be wise to jot down their specific release event information as some will hold midnight releases, events on the night prior, and other great giveaways/goodies that would make your attendance worthwhile. Are you planning on copping the Pearlized Toe Questions? Let us know in the comments below, but be sure to look through the info for your own benefit!
