You know by now that adidas has very much made it their mission to crank out the lightest performance basketball sneakers on the market. Keeping that in mind it seems like a shadow is a good thing to aspire to, after all if they can produce a pair as light as that then they’ve really got something special on their hands. All jokes aside, the new adidas Crazy Shadow may have a name that suggests an incognito silhouette but these new designs are anything but, both getting some slick graphic treatment on the back window and a nice texture overlay for the front end. History is more likely to relegate the Stupidly Light to a footnote than discuss its unique name in depth, and it’ll probably be further buried as time goes on and adidas Basketball comes through with new models like the one pictured above. The adidas adiZero Shadow gets its point across just as well without any of the self deprication, a Sprint Web construction that’s so light it’s named for a weightless reflection of your anatomy. This first drop looks like it could have been an NBA All-Star tie-in, but there’s also a certain GI-Joe appeal with the red, white and blue heel Stripes. Check them out along with other shots after the jump and look for the adiZero Shadow HWC at select retailers soon. via SM

Turns out adidas really meant it when they said they were going all in with the adiZero line. This lightweight sneaker series just seems to keep on coming with new models as the months roll by, with the latest being the above picture adidas adiZero Shadow. The high tech SPRINTWEB upper pushes the three stripes to the back end, letting the sides of the shoe shine with the barely there material. We’ve got a look a two colorways that will be impacting, the blacked out joints with some yellow on the contrastive stiching and then an explosive ‘bred’ pair with a nice crackled look on the leather. Check out the rest of the shots and stick with us for release info. Also, let us know in the comments how these stack up against the other upcoming models in the adidas Basketball lineup. via SM
