More than any other single color, royal blue is strongly connected with The Brand with the Three Stripes, and especially the adidas Originals line. You can see it on the boxes and on a variety of blue-themed packs, the latest of which features very little of the shade in question, but certainly connects with the freewheeling spirit we’ve come to expect from drops like the A.039s. The adidas Originals Blue Collection for fall/winter 2011 includes a few we’ve previewed and some totally new looks like the crazy Hardland Hi in a ‘bred’ snakeskin and suede look. Click through to see a similarly reptillian Azzie Mid plus the Hardland Lo, 4Bits and MEGA, let us know which one is best and expect these at adidas Originals retailers by the time you finish reading this post. via HB

Mark Gonzales’ adidas Skateboarding signature is based on the 1970s Three Stripes cycling shoe the Immotile, a model that sees its low-profile outsole applied to the equally sleek silhouette for the adidas Azzi Mid. The model’s overall shape is something like a ‘skinny’ Stan Smith Mid, though this wild crocodile skin getup is wilder than the traditional white and Fairway Green combo. Click through to see more angles, let us know how these compare to the other animal-printed adidas Originals sneakers we’ve seen in 2011 and stick with Sneaker News for the adidas Azzi release date. via SF
