The last time we saw a Court Deck model from adidas Orignals, it was the midtop version that debuted last year. About eleven months later, we see this boat-inspired design reach the most logical conclusion as a lowtop, though some of the boat steez has been eliminated. These new adidas Court Deck Vulcs are like the Nike SB Stefan Janoski in that way, eschewing the traditional boat shoe heel lace for a more universal lockdown. Their ZX 700 Boat was among the first deck shoe hybrid sneakers to gain notoriety a few years back and in 2012, adidas has put some serious energy behind boat (-inspired) designs. From the launch of the skate division’s Janoski-leaning Jonbee to Originals’ Seeley and the new performance-oriented CC Boat Lace, Three Stripes has something for everyone who’s after that ‘Lonely Island’ look. And now, the adidas Originals Court Deck Vulc Mid takes this surge that much higher, its Docksider-meets-Nizza silhouette coming off fairly unique, especially given how many kicks we’ve seen try this look over the past few years.
