Back in December we showed you a first look at the adidas Y-3 2014 Spring/Summer Footwear Collection, and now we have more looks from the collection. Unlike with recent Y-3 collections, it seems like with this set of shoes, Mr. Yamamoto is choosing to go with mostly basic colorways. This collection consists of a black denim Y-3 Honja High, a black Y-3 Kazuhiri, and an all red Y-3 Honja Low, just to name a few of the models. A mainstay of Yohji Yamamoto’s partnership with Three Stripes for about five years now, the adidas Y-3 Honja Hi returns with a timely new mix of trendy floral print and futurism.  The Honja remains one of the sleekest luxury hightops on the market and this latest pair has a classy black and white build up front with a bit of orange at the sole that foreshadows what’s to come when you see the heel.  These rock one of the most expressive and intricate flowery patterns we’ve seen, even from a company like adidas who’s one of the recent industry leaders when it comes to visual complexity.  Let us know where these rank after you’ve seen more below and grab yours today at top-tier retailers like CNCPTS.

adidas y 3 september 2012 releases adidas Y 3 September 2012 Releases

adidas garners a ton of attention thanks to Jeremy Scott’s collaborations, but if you’re talking about long-term impact, no one has contributed more neckbreakers to the Brand with the Three Stripes than Yohji Yamamoto.  The Japanese designer whose bold styles helped pave the way for what we’ve come to know as ‘lifestyle sneakers’ returns with four different silhouettes that are as different from the masses as they are from one another.  This collection features the debut of the Y-3 Kazuhirl, an elastic-ankled low-profile hightop whose sleek silhouette is a strong compliment to the equally svelte Honja High.  Two more new models make their first appearances as the appropriately named Held hightop comes through with a uniquely strappy take on those iconic Stripes and the GSG-3 boot offers the kind of protection upon which German special forces rely.  Prices range from $290 to $520 and you can see more of the luxurious designs below before buying at select retailers like Kith.

adidas y3 honja high black white beige summary adidas Y 3 Honja High Black White Dots

Everybody understands the chess-vs-checkers analogy, but Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has been playing a different game entirely with his adidas Y-3 capsule.  The decade-old collabo ranks as one of the industry’s longest running, and it’s managed to stay fresh thanks to outrageous releases like the adidas Y-3 Honja High pictured above.  While his peers are going crazy over wild animal prints after having spent much of the post-recession era offering plain tonal designs, Yamamoto proves once again that his mind is unbounded by popular trends with this dope geometrically-patterned polka dot look.  Click through so you can see some more images and if these tickle your fancy, get them straight from the Y-3 e-store.
