The first adidas Originals ZX 500 Trail colorway hit retailers a few weeks back, and with the fall really kicking in, it’s natural to see more of this weather-ready revision appear in some new styles. Following up on the first tonal blue design is one that goes for more of a greyscale blend up top, but it’s marked by sunny yellow accents including some of the lettering on that unmistakable Cordura Fabric logo tag. The adidas ZX running shoe series began in 1984 with the original 500. After a decent number of releases in 2012, the ZX 500 has been limited to more exclusive drops this year, but that looks to change with the introduction of a brand new variation on this nearly thirty year old design. The adidas ZX 500 Trail has a relatively familiar shape up top, but the overall design has been shifted, and somewhat radically at the sole, where a chunky trail ready base marks its intent with two-tone speckling. This ruggedized ZX 500 Trail also uses Cordura fabric instead of the traditional nylon/mesh combo so you’ll stay comfortable in harsh conditions, and you’ll find them available now at select Three Stripes stockists including Overkill.
