Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “30th Anniversary”

October 27th, 2014 by | No comments

air jordan 1 retro high og 30th anniversary 01 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 30th Anniversary

After getting a better view of the Hiroshi Fujiwara-helmed Air Jordan 1 “Fragment Design”, there’s even more on the way for the 30th anniversary celebration of Mike’s first signature shoe in the Air Jordan 1 Laser. The original print has numerous if not subtle callouts to the history of the shoe and is slated for an early February release in 2015. A smooth white leather upper gets help from accented side panels with the laser etched detailing while an icy bottom holds down the rest. Is this look too tonal for such a monumental, three decade celebration in the making? Peep more images of this celebratory Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG after the break and let us know if you’re feeling the laser etching throughout the upper by penning your thoughts in the comments section.

hiroshi fujiwara previews air jordan 1 fragment design 01 Hiroshi Fujiwara Previews Upcoming Air Jordan and Nike Collaborations

When frequent Nike collaborator Hiroshi Fujiwara and his fragment design imprint hook up with the Swoosh, we’re always in for something truly special, and today’s look at three upcoming designs is no exception. Of course, the Air Jordan 1 is going to turn the most heads given that this is the first time that Fujiwara was able to work his magic on an Air Jordan retro. The combination of royal blue and black is sure to bring back memories of the classic “Royal” pair while the color blocking is enough to shine a light on the “Black Toe” aesthetic. There’s still no release date announcement on that pair or the fragment design x Nike Sock Dart, but we do have a concrete date for the fragment design x Nike LD 1000 (November 6th). As always, we have a better depiction of the event after the break and be sure to let us know if you’re excited about the prospect of an upcoming fragment design x Air Jordan 1 in the comments section.

Entering 2015, the main focal point of Jordan Brand’s year will be helping the Air Jordan 7 celebrate its 23rd year with a number of OG Remastered colorways, but there’s more. Next year also marks three decades of brilliance for the brand, and to help they’re giving Mike’s first silhouette in the Air Jordan 1 a special laser etching for the shoe’s 30th anniversary. The sneaker already has a tentative release date of February 7th, but beyond that the details are fairly sparse as the near-monochromatic finish features a subdued off white and pure platinum finish with what looks like a 3M Swoosh aided by a unique print on the heel. Check out a few details of this upcoming celebratory Air Jordan 1 Laser and let us know if you’re excited about the prospect of the laser addition to the upper in the comments section.

There was a point in time during the summer of 2013 when those luxurious red Air Jordan retros known as the “Legends of the Summer” series were on will they or won’t they release status. The Justin Timberlake helmed pairs were delegated through scavenger hunts along with a free set of tickets to whichever city was hosting the Jay-Z and JT concert. The Air Jordan 1 was the only sneaker to get a makeover in two pairs (the alternate featured a 3M upper with patent red leather accents). Today we get a look at the all red edition featuring a suede construction throughout while a faux-snakeskin texture arrives on the heel and branding. Continue onward for a better view of this rare find and grab them today via nycdeals2011 on eBay.

air jordan 1 retro high og white black release date 1 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG White/Black Release Date

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “White/Black” is headed to retail shelves on Saturday, November 8th, 2014. The recent spike of Mike’s first silhouette donning the ‘Nike Air’ branding points to the shoe finally being a regular retro in the Jordan Brand catalogue, but so far this year we haven’t seen the sneaker arrive at retailers in an original colorway. The simple white and black construction should make this clean retro a must have, but between a Black Friday release of the Air Jordan 6 “Black/Infrared” and saving up for the Ultimate Gift of Flight Pack for Holiday 2o14, does this pair have a place in your future rotation? As always, we have more info for you over on our Jordan Release Dates page and hit the click for a better view of this upcoming Air Jordan 1.
