The most recent development for the New Balance 1500 brings it a construction update, but have no fear, fans of the classic suede and mesh.  Flimby’s still doing what they do best.  Check out this Made in England edition we’ve had our eyes on for a while through tradeshows and other previews, the M1500BRT whose latter initials stand for the burgundy, red and teal surrounding the white/grey base.  These and another pair that sort of flip the red/blue distribution are considered spring 2014 releases and that usually means first quarter, and sure enough, you can find this pair available now at Titolo.

New Balance 1500 Seamless

new balance 1500 seamless New Balance 1500 Seamless

The New Balance 1500 is a model that’s got some stitching more important than most, as the panels are pretty often put together right there at the historic Flimby factory. So what happens when you remove those stitches all together? You get a build that feels much sleeker than that of the historical NB 1500. The approach is sort of reminiscent of the “Sonic Weld” collection of New Balance 574s and the like from that debuted a couple years back, although this 1500 looks just a bit more teched out. Take another look after the break and watch for release info on this seamless pair of New Balances courtesy of Sneaker News.

After being outfitted in a couple of collaborative colorways in 2013, the New Balance 1500 starts this year back at home in Flimby, UK, with a handful of new Made in England styles.  In addition to the black and green duo we previewed a short while back, these two slightly more colorful pairs will also be hitting during the first quarter.  Both use the same tonal plus white blocking template, with a red pair adding tiny bits of mint while the blues have select red contrasts.  Both can be seen further in more photos after the jump, and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for US release info.

New Balance 1500 “Binary” Sample

new balance 1500 binary New Balance 1500 Binary Sample

There are 10 types of people in this world-those who can understand the tongue tag on those New Balance 1500 samples and those who can’t. For the less nerdy among you, those ones and zeros across the tongue are a bit of binary code, presumably meant to stand in for ASCII characters. A little bit of translation churns out the numbers “1984″, which is a little confusing since the the shoe made its debut later on in the decade. In the recent past, the New Balance 1500 has reinforced the notion that it has a ‘default’ configuration.  This is one with one color suede on the upper with a light contrast on the mesh, and white on the ankle collar, tongue, laces and midsole (and often the midfoot detail panel).  Here we have two more examples of what we might consider the original 1500 template, with dark navy blue and mossy green pairs coming up for a January release.  Click through for a closer look at the Made in England quality on these pairs, then pre-order yours from End.

Saint Alfred x New Balance 1500

It turns out there is yet another New Balance collaboration on the way-this one set to release just a week after Ronnie Fieg hit us with a double dosage. We’re speaking of the Saint Alfred x New Balance 1500, a sneaker that’s just now been revealed. As you can see it’s a tonal red affair that gets finished off with a gum sole on bottom. The suede selected appears particularly nappy, which should have quite a few excited given the synthetic suede that we’re so used to seeing on today’s footwear releases. Continue reading to get some additional angles and watch for them to drop at Saint Alfred this Saturday, December 7th.
