Alright so this New Balance 1500 colorway isn’t of the Elite Edition persuasion, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending how you look at it. If you’re a fan of the Flimby factory shape then it’s a good thing, as this pair was indeed made in the UK. Showing up on the sneaker here is this most basic of colorways, the kind of muted staple that you’d want to have in your rotation season after season. Continue reading for more on the New Balance 1500 colorway shown and then grab yours from Titolo ahead of their US arrival.

If you were feeling Flimby’s output on the New Balance 1500 for spring, you’re going to love these two new colorways coming up for July.  Following up on the grey and tan ‘Made in England’ editions come these new pairs in black and cobalt blue.  They should probably go ahead and issue the entire rainbow a few colors at a time, but it looks like the duo that will follow is equally brilliant in a different configuration.  Compare and contrast them after the jump, then pre-order yours starting June 1st from Hanon.

New Balance 1500 – Custom Re-Shaping

new balance 1500 custom re shaping New Balance 1500 Custom Re Shaping

For whatever reason, the overall shapes of your favorite retro silhouettes often end up different from the OG releases. Recent New Balance 1500 issues have been a bit round in the toes for those that have followed the brand for a while, despite keeping things at home with the Flimby production. Anyways, if you’re not feeling that shape and you want something more in tune with the flat-footed look then check this quick re-shaping custom. All that it took was ripping open the toe box and doing a little bit of surgery and you’ve got a much more original looking New Balance 1500 silhouette. See the transformation below and let us know if you prefer the “after” to the “before” here.

united arrows new balance 1500 release reminder United Arrows x New Balance 1500 Release Reminder

United Arrows has been incredibly busy in 2013 with the collaboration stuff. The latest one that’s set to release is this, a New Balance 1500 that gets washed over with a sandy beige look. The mesh treatments are super minimal on this one, as suede is made to dominate the upper. It’s worth noting that the pair is not of UK origin, so just in case you’re a Flimby purist then you’ve been warned. Get an extra angle on the United Arrows x New Balance 1500 after the jump and keep in mind that Premier is one of the select shops that will be stocking them this Saturday, April 11th.

The collab stuff from New Balance has been increasingly hard to get here in the US in 2013. First up it was the Fingercroxx pair, which only hit at a handful of retailers and in extremely limited quantities at that. And then it was the Sneaker Freaker banger, which didn’t even see North American shores. Next up it’s the United Arrows x New Balance 1500, a pair that will hopefully be a little more easily attainable than the previously mentioned pairs. Europe’s Titolo has theirs in hand now, with a release apparently coming soon. In addition to that you can expect select US shops to roll them out on April 28th. See the United Arrows x New Balance 1500 after the jump and tell us if you’re after a pair.

Another season means a second round of New Balance Elite Edition drops, as one model takes on the look from one of the others from spring.  The New Balance 1500 Elite was the one of the spring season group that’d featured the simplest colorways and contrast stitching, and here we see it redone in a blocking pattern more similar to the 999 Elites.  Red laces in a grey suede/mesh shoe is always a nice twist, and this pair’s strings work in conjunction with a matching heel, so take a closer look at how they’re laid out below, then grab yours at NB retailers like Oneness.

New Balance 1500 – Grey – White

Without a single release since the Elite Collection in early February, suede and mesh obsessives have been left without a fresh New Balance 1500 colorway for nearly two months.  Luckily, that dry spell comes to an end with this latest drop, a design we’d seen back in January that missed the projected February ship date.  This 1500GWS is the grey counterpoint to the tan TWS we’ve also yet to see, though this pair’s arrival suggests each of the unresolved New Bals promised at the start of the year should be on store shelves shortly.  Have a closer look at this pair that’s just a few degrees away from the grey OGs and grab yours today from SNS.
