Nike Sportswear Dream Team Collection

Team USA will lace up this August to defend their 2008 Gold Medal during the Summer Olympic Games in London, and if they keep the historic 1992 Dream Team in focus, they’ll have no difficulty in returning the prized Gold to U.S. soil. While the 1992 squad is best recognized as the ‘Dream Team’, there’s no doubt that the United States sends the most talented bunch of basketball players every four years, and the upcoming 2012 team has the high expectations of reaching or surpassing the record-setting success of the ’92 team that boasted names likes Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.

To celebrate the ‘dream’ heritage of USAB, Nike Sportswear unveils the Nike Sporstwear ‘Dream Team’ Collection, which features five of the most memorable Nike Basketball selections of the past games and a special edition Nike Destroyer Jacket that pays tribute to the 20th Anniversary of the original Dream Team. Included in this pack (previously featured on Sneaker News) is the Nike Air Force 180 (Charles Barkley), Nike Air More Uptempo (Scottie Pippen), the Nike Shox BB4 (Vince Carter), and the Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 as well as a Nike Air Force 1 High. Nike Air Force 1 iD Grey Elephant Samples

When Sneaker News brought you images of the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 iD samples yesterday, all of them depicted a tonal, almost monochromatic elephant print in a variety of colors with but one single photo depicting the classic dark-on-light grey as was pioneered on the Air Jordan III OGs.  Here’s an expanded look at that tonal grey and gumsoled approach to the Air Force 1 Low on NIKEiD, as well as a hightop version that goes with a translucent bottom instead.  These two are quite similar, yet different enough to demonstrate some of the blocking options available on both heights when the super-limited 750-pair run opens on February 1st at midnight eastern.  Will you choose suede on the rear quarter like the AF1 Low iDs, or maybe you wanna go from toe to heel in Elephant like the Highs?  Get your drafts in order because there’s no time to waste once these go live, and click through to see some more of these samples in the meantime.

Nike Air Force 1 iD Elephant Print Samples

Air Force 1 devotees and fans of the Air Jordan Legacy will be getting together this February, and no, we’re not talking about a sneakerhead speed dating event.  This match made in heaven isn’t a romance in the traditional sense, but rather a marriage of classic styles when the Nike Air Force 1 iD debuts its Elephant print options come next month.  These first sample pairs proves that tonal leathers will be available, with a blacked-out pair showing how high contrast is done with white on the Swoosh and midsole, while white/black and wheat/white designs display different blocking options.  Check out three highs and a Low after the jump and let us know which colors you’ll use when 750 pairs of the Air Force 1 come to Nike iD with Elephant print options this February 1st.

Nike Air Force 1 High Obsidian Wolf Grey White

In case you didn’t believe us all the times we mentioned it along with pictures as proof, here’s yet more photo evidence that Nike Sportswear is maximizing the simple yet satisfying appeal of the Air Force 1 as it moves into its 30th anniversary year. The Nike Air Force 1 High is back in the latest in a long and ever-expanding line of elegant AF1s, this Obsidian pair adding Wolf Grey at a time of year that practically begs for some kind of MLB Spring Training reference. That kind of palette is sure to find plenty of fans outside the Bronx, but you can’t deny that the Uptown appeal of this pair will have Yankees fans breaking these out along with the Jeter jerseys as the days get longer and warmer. Click through so you can take a closer look at this new AF1 High and grab yours from an NSW retailer like SneakersNStuff.

Nike Air Force 1 High Premium White + Black

Nike Sportswear has put the new Cashmere color on the map in a big way this season with four new Air Force 1 Lows, and it looks like that’s not all NSW has in store in the way of simple yet satisfying AF1s.  Check out this new duo of Nike Air Force 1 Highs that shares the same construction and colorblocking, but end up as polar opposites thanks to the simplest of all contrasts.  One of them opts for white leather with a grey midsole and translucent bottom, while another pair goes for black on the upper as well as a traditional opaque outsole.  Both offer a unique texture that’s not apparent until you get close, but once you notice it, you might wonder if they’re potentially some kind of coated textile or otherwise relatively exotic build.  Check out both of them in more detail when you click through to see more photos after the jump below, and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all of the upcoming Air Force 1 release dates.  via mita sneakers

Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme Red Mahogany

Much of the attention surrounding top-notch Air Force 1s this month has come from the Bespoke experience at 21 Mercer in New York, where not only do innovative new combinations of colors and materials seem to pop up each day, but also a new super-premium Vachetta leather edition that takes the Uptown to new handcrafted heights. But don’t think just because all that iD goodness is going around, that Nike Sportswear forgot how to put a deluxe twist on its basketball pillar. This new Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme is obviously a quality product from the second you lay eyes on it, the Red Mahogany leather upper offering a wide range of tones thanks to its grainy texture. They’re quite crisp with an all-white sole and tonal laces, the kind of simple colorblocking that attracts attention, but you can expect more nods of admiration than jaws hitting the floor. Click through for a look at these from every angle and expect them to hit stores as part of NSW’s summer 2012 collection, some time during the second quarter of next year. If you decide these are just too good and you can’t wait, check out the sample pair available now from dballaholic on eBay.

Nike Air Force 1 High Medium Grey Team Red

The Nike Air Force 1 High has been making some big moves this year, turning heads once again with the ‘Duckboot’ and VT series of upgrades. Let’s not forget how strong the original leather look is in its own right though, as with the pair on display here. The unassuming medium grey/team red combo gets some neat detailing with the material progression from front to back, as the tumbled look from the posterior fades away when the shoe reaches the toe box. Hit the jump if you’re in need of an extra look, and pick this pair up from Oneness right now or grab your size on eBay.

Nike Air Force 1 iD Premium Boot Leather

With boots and boot-inspired hybrids more popular than ever within the sneakerhead set, it’s only right to see one of the all-time greats offer one of the widest range of boot looks.  We’ve seen plenty of Air Force 1 boots, from the ‘Workboot’ edition to the ‘Duckboots’, and now you can apply the kind of premium leather you’d find on the former to a new round of Nike Air Force 1 iD options.  Expect top-notch quality and rustic colors when these hit NIKEiD on Thursday, December 1st, one combination of which is certain to find a huge following in the Austin, Texas area.  Click through to see more and let us know how these compare to Nike Sportswear’s own Air Force 1 Boots.

Nike Air Force 1 High Midnight Fog Gum

Among the most enduring images from the fall football season is the leather and wool mix found on the traditional varsity jacket design. These have been elevated to a fine art by the athletic and upscale streetwear brands in the past few years, and now we see a bit of the letterman influence in this new Nike Air Force 1 High. These Midnight Fog AF1 Highs don’t exhibit the sporty look in the same overt way that, say, last year’s 5 Boroughs Pack did, but the smooth grey and gum look will nicely compliment almost any outerwear you could imagine. Nike Sportswear continues to offer so many solid go-to releases that you don’t have to rely on just one as the backbone of your everyday rotation, and these Air Force 1 Highs are now available at select retailers like Mr. R Sports starting November 5th, or get yours right now on eBay.
