The sneaker has long since occupied the retro realm, being readily available under the Nike Sportswear umbrella, albeit not to the same extent as the more popular Nike Air Force 1 Low. The Nike Air Force 1 Low isn’t the only Uptown model that will be dressing up in the “Blazer” inspired look going forward. Shown here are a couple Nike Air Force 1 High releases that do the same thing, donning a beautiful set of suedes and some old school tongue tags. The Nike Blazer is a model that’s always been more salient in the high-top version, so at least these Nike Air Force 1 Highs make a bit more sense as far as height is concerned. Rasheed Wallace is likely done with the NBA forever, but we can’t help but be reminded of him whenever a basic colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 High falls before our eyes. This clean mix of White and Hyper Blue is definitely something Sheed could’ve worn during his days with the Pistons or the Knicks, with the patent leather Swoosh hinting at some of the earlier Nike Air Force 1 High “Sheed” releases of the past. All of a sudden elephant print is all over the Nike Air Force 1 lineup. Sure we’ve seen it happen in the past, but perhaps never in this rapid a succession on random retail pairs. This time around the Nike Air Force 1 High goes into the jungle, utilizing the famed pattern on its back end. What’s more the sneaker picks up on a white/red/black combination that actually links them up a little bit further to that Air Jordan vibe that the beastly print exudes. How cruel would it have been if the release of the sick pony hair animal print options was an April Fools joke? Well, we knew it wasn’t because it already dropped in Asia a few days ago, and you can check Nike iD for yourself because the three prints are indeed available. The snake isn’t the only animal being brought in by the NIKE iD folk this year as far as the Nike Air Force 1 is concerned. It looks like April 2013 will have the Nike Air Force 1 iD available with some pony hair upgrades with cheetah, tiger, and other wildlife-inspired graphics for both the Nike Air Force 1 Low and Nike Air Force 1 High. Will the Nike Air Force 1 continue to ride the current animal print wave with even more beastly prints in the future?
