For much of 2013, the energy that Nike Sportswear had been putting into its faux retro runners seemed to go into the real thing, namely new colorways for the Pegasus, Vortex and a handful of other pre-Max 1980s models. But as we’ve seen from a guy like Eminem continuing to favor the Air Max Wright, there’s still some serious pull to the pairs that aren’t a part of the official Max legacy but draw on their designs. That’s the category into which the Nike Air Max Coliseum Racer follows, this new pair in that ever popular Bulls-leaning color scheme that you can see in more photos after the jump, and available now at retailers like Titolo.

Nike Sportswear unveils its latest faux retro runner in the style pictured above. The Nike Air Max Coliseum Racer traces its roots to the early 1990s, including a Max Air window on both sides, tongue tag borrowed from Air Max Triax ’94 and outsole hearkening back the International campaign. This black/Anthracite colorway accented by Pure Platinum is a timeless look that still shows today’s penchant for tonal applications, and you can see them from more angles below before buying at Titolo.
