nike air presto sp release date 01 570x399 Nike Air Presto SP Release Date

Remember the Nike Genealogy of Free collection? Well the Nike Air Presto SP will release as a part of that collection on May 31st, 2014. The sneaker helps celebrate the steps that led up to Nike’s current Free line, and it’s not too hard to see why the Nike Air Presto was included in the collection as the mesh upper once known as a t-shirt for your feet was a precursor to many of the sneakers that are infamous in Nike’s catalogue today. Featuring a black neoprene and mesh base, the sneaker gets help from a grey midsole while varsity maize and a pearl ankle support round out the silhouette. Get with us after the click for a better look at this Nike Air Presto SP and reserve your pair over at CNCPTS today.

The Nike Air Presto falls into that latter category, this running shoe sized like a t-shirt whose TPU cage was the predecessor to the Flywire that dominates across all sports these days. Like the rest of the Geneaology pairs, this is an original colorway for the Presto, so click in to get reacquainted and cop yours at top NSW shops like SNS.

Nike Inside Access: Natural Motion and Nike Free

nike free natural motion 02 Nike Inside Access: Natural Motion and Nike Free

Nike co-found Bill Bowerman said it’s all about the feet – not the shoes, and that ethos still guides a certain sector of Nike’s runners. That would be the Nike Free category, which is celebrating its ten-year anniversary in 2014 with the return of the original Nike Free silhouette. Of course the Swoosh has a long history of creating these sort of stripped down sneakers that begins way back with the Cortez in 1972 and stops along the way at Beaverton-design hallmarks like the Nike Huarache and the Presto. Continue reading to see some of the models that helped inform their legacy of Natural Motion and then read about each on Nike INC today.

Nike Air Presto – Squadron Blue – Vivid Sulfur

nike air presto squadron blue vivid sulfur 01 570x425 Nike Air Presto Squadron Blue Vivid Sulfur

The last Nike Air Presto seen here on Sneaker News was that curious Sex and the City sample that had come not from the series and shoe’s original run at the turn of the century, but rather, around a retro run (and the movie) in 2008. Here’s one that’s decidedly more straightforward and will be available for your purchase, one that also indirectly proves this t-shirt-sized model’s enduring appeal nearly fifteen years after its debut. This fairly restrained Squadron Blue and Vivid Sulfur style with the Stadium Grey midsole can be seen in more photos below, then cop a pair from shops like Titolo.

You can file this one right up there with the Nike Air Seinfeld and the Dave Letterman Nikes as far as strangest ever Nike tie-ins. Shown is a sample version of the Nike Air Presto with some Sex and the City branding which was apparently created in conjunction with the 2008 film based on the HBO series. From what we’ve gathered it appears that they may have been part of a group of product giveaways leading up to the film’s theatrical release (There are also some “Sex and the City” Nike jackets floating around). Continue reading for more on the bizarre pair and then check out the chance to own them for yourself from carlo2332 on eBay.
