nike air presto collection Nike Air Presto Lightning, Houndstooth, and More in this eBay Lot

Let’s not forget that the Nike Air Presto was doing printed pairs and graphics way before the current crop of shoes in that vein. Helping you out with some evidence of that claim is this Presto collection, which contains 15 pairs that span from 2001 till 2009. There are NIKEiD pairs, Asia releases, and some real rarities like the “Patriotic” Presto tribute for 9/11. Does the reminder of the slightly forgotten Presto silhouette dim the current noise about printed pairs just a bit? Tell us down in the comments and then check out how much this group will cost you from rko281976 on eBay.

nike running genealogy pack release date Nike Running Genealogy Pack Release Date

The Nike Running Genealogy Pack is headed to retailers Thursday, July 31st, 2014. It’s hard to believe that Nike Free technology has been going at it for an entire decade, but to celebrate the occasion, the Swoosh has brought back some of their most important running silhouettes (and a few forgotten models – the Nike Sock Racer, anyone?) to bring to light the lineage and inspiration leading up to the debut of the free outsole. The colorways are fairly toned down featuring an ominous black upper while most of the outsoles get a clean cement grey speckle to finish things off. While the Nike Free Run 2 SP grouped in with this collection hit retailers back in May, you can grab the likes of the Air Presto, Free OG, Free 5.0 and more come 7/31. As always, stick around after the click for more from this upcoming Nike collection and reserve your favorite running silhouette today from select retailers like Concepts.

Remember the Nike Genealogy of Free collection? Well the Nike Air Presto SP will release as a part of that collection on May 31st, 2014. The sneaker helps celebrate the steps that led up to Nike’s current Free line, and it’s not too hard to see why the Nike Air Presto was included in the collection as the mesh upper once known as a t-shirt for your feet was a precursor to many of the sneakers that are infamous in Nike’s catalogue today. Featuring a black neoprene and mesh base, the sneaker gets help from a grey midsole while varsity maize and a pearl ankle support round out the silhouette. nike free natural motion 02 Nike Inside Access: Natural Motion and Nike Free

Nike co-found Bill Bowerman said it’s all about the feet – not the shoes, and that ethos still guides a certain sector of Nike’s runners. That would be the Nike Free category, which is celebrating its ten-year anniversary in 2014 with the return of the original Nike Free silhouette. Of course the Swoosh has a long history of creating these sort of stripped down sneakers that begins way back with the Cortez in 1972 and stops along the way at Beaverton-design hallmarks like the Nike Huarache and the Presto. Continue reading to see some of the models that helped inform their legacy of Natural Motion and then read about each on Nike INC today.
