The last FC Real Bristol x Nike collaboration hit Japan in late December on a couple of mastermind co-signed Air Max 2012s. Prior to that, this fragment design x Uniform Experiment teamup had crafted a Solar Soft Sandal, and they must have liked the result because here’s another summer sneaker with the same sole stuff. The F.C.R.B. x Nike Solarsoft Waffle Cruiser will arrive at FCRB retailers this Saturday, May 25th in a couple of colorways that are similar to some seen on the Solarsoft smash hit Roshe Run. You might not be able to get your hands on these here in the States, so that exclusivity along with a $58 pricetag means these will go fast.

Nike Sportswear snuck in a sleeper smash hit with their super affordable Roshe Run, so will the even less costly combination of a classic running upper paired with a similar sole sell even faster? The Nike Solarsoft Waffle Cruiser comes through in an Oregon colorway with white to highlight the sole that gives this shoe its name. And aside from that and the steal of an MSRP, this design also brings convertability to your summer rotation with a quick-changing collapsible heel to morph these from a lightweight nu-retro runner to more of a ‘snandal’. Check them out below then grab a pair at NSW stores like Caliroots.

The phrase ‘Nike Solar Soft‘ has heretofore referred to an HTM sandal whose heavily perforated injection-molded design has drawn comparisons to Crocs slip-ons. Here in America, you can find a pair of Crocs knockoffs at countless stores once the weather’s right, but the Solar Soft has been totally AWOL in favor of AP-exclusive releases. Will the new Nike Solarsoft Waffle Cruiser meet with the same fate? This low-profile look for summer is based on the classic Waffle Racer, but features a collapsable heel that effectively changes these from an old school runner redux to a fashionable slip-on sandal. Click through to get a look at the first three that just hit Nike Harajuku and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release.
