A couple quick search engine queries will let you know that the value of gold has been on a steady rise over the past couple of years. Ronnie Fieg’s pedigree has been marked by a similar trend, with each of his successive Asics releases garnering more and more attention. Looks like he’s got another one on his hands with the Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT-II ‘Rose Gold’, a sneaker that we’ve seen teased a couple times already under the salmon/baby blue moniker. The images come with the familiar Fieg formula (chicks+kicks), so do your best to stay focused when you check out the quick teaser here. As always stick with Sneaker News for release info on the Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT-II ‘Rose Gold’ as soon as it becomes available.

There are a few things we’ve come to expect from the Ronnie Fieg collabos with Asics. Among those are: top-notch suede, release day madness, and indulgent photo shoots. With the official release date of the ‘Mazarine Blue’ Asics Gel Saga II right around the corner (following the Kithstrike drop last week), Fieg has let go an extra batch of images for his final pair of 2011, featuring Norwegian model, Siri Blomquist. Stick with us after the jump if you’re eager for another look at the…shoes, and let us know how these stack up against the rest of the RF Asics we’ve seen this year. Also, don’t forget to be on the lookout for them come December 29th.

Yo dawg, we heard you like sneaker lists, so we put sneaker lists inside a sneaker list to create a sneaker list of sneaker lists. Complex Magazine adores lists like rotund children embrace pastries, so throughout the second-half of December, they hit up some of their in-house squad members as well as some notable sneakerheads in the game to run down six distinct lists of Top 10 Sneakers Of 2011. DJ Clark Kent, Ronnie Fieg, Frank The Butcher, Matt Halfhill, Joe La Puma, and Russ Bengston all dropped their respective two cents for this feature, so check out all the lists below and let us know which of the six you relate with the most!

Ronnie Fieg has never worked for or with Nike, but there’s a clear Swoosh inspiration in this latest release. Not only did Ronnie Fieg serve as a guest designer for this new Asics Gel Saga II in the collaborative style Nike helped make central to the modern sneaker landscape, but the ‘Mazarine Blue’ Gel Saga II was also released in a pattern we’ve seen eminating from Beaverton. First off, the #kithstrike surprise release of 100 pairs Tuesday morning is both in name and practice quite similar to Nike’s Quickstrike drops, and as has been the case in several of the more popular pairs in recent years, that super-limited debut won’t be the last we’ll hear from this pair. In fact, the bulk of ‘Mazarine Blue’ Gel Sagas will still be available when they arrive at Kith NYC on December 29th, 200 of the 300-pair limited run still up for grabs. Will you make an early resolution to line up and get Ronnie Fieg’s last Asics collab of 2011? Click through to see some tempting images and stick with Sneaker News for word on his upcoming projects.

For those that thought the ‘Leatherback’ Asics Gel Lyte III’s were the end of the Ronnie Fieg team up with Asics for this calender year, think again. The Kith team has been leaking images of the upcoming Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Saga ‘Mazarine Blue’ in familiar fashion, with Instagram sneak peaks and cool promo vids like this one. Last time around we only got the back end, but here the profile of the sneaker is in full view, displaying the beautiful mazarine blue. The look is short but sweet, and definitely worth it if you’re a fan of the Asics Gel Saga or any of the collabos RF has been pumping out. Check out the full spot after the jump and stick with us for more looks as we approach the December 29th release date.

It wasn’t quite apparent that the sneaker community was seeking for a change until Ronnie Fieg’s color selections on Asics models became such huge hits. Ronnie Fieg will cap off an exciting year of Asics collaborations with the Asics Gel Saga, an original Asics runner that made its triumphant return in its original colorways. Titled ‘Mazarine Blue’ (all of Fieg’s kicks seem to be briefly named after its colorway or materials choices), this Asics Gel Saga features a rich blue upper in a tonal setting, matched with a solid black midsole. Credit Fieg for making Asics the trendiest kicks around and for putting the spotlight on these classic runners that the young generation today likely had zero knowledge of just a couple of years prior, but appreciating history is what makes the sneaker game an exciting and never-ending story. Fieg reports a December 29th release at his KITH retail spot in NYC, so check out the extra angles below and stay tuned for more information, and let us know if what you see here is better than another pair of Sagas that Fieg teased earlier this year.

How can you top a grand opening celebration that saw the release of two super-limited classic suede runners? How about tossing in a third from another brand, and adding a little leather for good measure? The Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Leatherback’ will ensure there’s no lag in customers flocking to the new Kith location in Manhattan, but only a select few will see their passion paid off with a sick engraved wooden collector’s box complete with dual-branded tee. Just 40 of the special editions exist and those will only be available in-store; will you set up shop to get your hands on one or is the net-ready ‘GR’ good enough for you? Click through to see more details of what’s in store for the launch of the Gel Lyte III ‘Leatherbacks’ by Ronnie Fieg tomorrow, November 18th at 11am EST.

With the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Leatherbacks’ release less than 24 hours away, we’re sure plenty of you are gearing up to grab your pair. It’s not unlike Ronnie to drop a sneak-preview of an upcoming project immediately following the release of one, but the timing is switched around a bit here. Taking a look at a recent Kith photo shoot, some interesting footwear popped up. That’s right, it looks like Ronnie has some been working on some more gems unbeknownst to the public, each done up in his signature suede styling. Get the full look at these possible future collaborative Asics releases after the jump and let us know which ones you’re looking forward to the most.

Releasing tomorrow is the limited edition ‘Leatherbacks’ colorway of the Asics Gel Lyte III, exclusively at the new KITH retail shop in Lower Manhattan. Likely the final Asics x Ronnie Fieg collaboration of 2011, the Leatherbacks was first previewed over the summer and later beautified on the feet of model Jen Yeager. If you’ve been fiending for a detailed viewing of this great release (without the distraction of a swimsuit model), here it is; dubbed the ‘Leatherbacks’ for the black leather construction on the the rear portion of this shoe, this GL3 is touched with impeccable hints of aqua blue on the outsole as well as the on the border of the Asics logo, and given a nice textural contrast with suede on the toe. Again, these are hitting KITH NYC on Friday and will be available online the same day at 11 AM, so check out the gallery below and let us know what you think.

Not only do Ronnie Fieg‘s monochromatic suede designs sell out instantly upon release, but he’s been able to open two retail establishments within three months in this country’s fashion capital. Following the New Balance 574′s shown last week, the newly opened second Kith store in Manhattan will also be home to the Ronnie Fieg for Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Leatherbacks’, a model that deviates slightly from the formula that got him to this point with the Japanese running specialists, but one that like the ‘Salmon Toes’, also will see 40 of its limited edition run boxed in laser-cut wooden luxury. Click through to see more and let us know if you’ll be on hand to grab these from the Kith Manhattan store this Friday, November 18th at 11am EST.
