Sneaker Con established itself in NYC, went coast-to-coast with a trip to Los Angeles, turned up the heat in Miami, and brought the best to the Nation’s capitol. Now, Sneaker Con will make the long-anticipated stop to the city made iconic in the sneaker world by the man responsible for the footwear-craze today – the ‘Windy City’ of Chicago, IL. On May 19th, Sneaker Con will fill the Windy City Field House with astounding heat from wall to wall, so make sure you save the date, lace up in your favorite kicks, and take part in the greatest event of its kind – Sneaker Con. Not long ago we gave you a nice recap of Sneaker Con Miami, but here’s a closer look at what was on the feet of the thousands of event-goers who came out in droves to check out Sneaker Con for themselves. Tons of great selections like the Galaxy Foamposites, SB Dunks, Air Jordan Customs, and other Nike Basketball gems, but some daring sneakerheads rocked two separate shoes, like one notable Air Jordan V ‘Tokyo 23′ paired with the Air Jordan IV ‘Lightning’, one Air Yeezy with the LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Flamingo’, and a duet of Air Jordan XI Low ‘Snakeskins’. Ever been to a Sneaker Con event? If you haven’t, you’re missing out. An endless sea of the sickest kicks with thousands of fellow sneaker fanatics lined up and packed into one gigantic event space makes Sneaker Con one of the must-have tickets of the year, and with its most recent successful stop in Miami this past weekend, the growing reputation as the commanding sneaker event in the world will be hard to ignore. The Fieldhouse at the Bank United Center was the hot-spot in Miami, with adidas Originals serving as a major sponsor with a sick installation and showcase area that displayed some of adidas’ upcoming hot commodities. Of course, the majority of the heat was brought in by the thousands of patrons and hundreds of vendors, all of which is displayed below. After a successful showing in New York City this past weekend, Sneaker Con will pack its bag and bring the greatest sneaker event in the world to the Los Angeles Convention Center this Saturday, December 17th. This occasion marks Sneaker Con’s first visit to the great city of Los Angeles, one that has displayed a passionate fervor for sneakers and a unique style distinct from any other. This event’s theme? A sneakerhead King Kong climbing the Hollywood Hills, grasping his fresh pair of Concords! Sneaker Con returned to NYC this past weekend, opening up to one of the biggest crowds in Sneaker Con history. With an endless line-up wrapping around the entire block for most of the day, sneakerheads from the tri-state area showed up to buy, sell, and trade their kicks in time for the Holiday season. Again, adidas Originals represented with a sick look-see preview of its upcoming Originals and Jeremy Scott models, and hundreds of vendors and patrons filled up the venue with some of the latest sneakers to have hit the market. It was sneaker hysteria for the entire event, and as the day wore on, sellers made some attractive deals to unload some of their stock, like offering free snap-backs or discounted t-shirts with sneaker purchases. Sneaker Con once again proved to be the best sneaker event of its kind, but for those who are SCNYC veterans, say good-bye to the venue because the next time Sneaker Con hits the Big Apple, it’ll be at a larger venue. Sneaker Con is going coast-to-coast in the month of December, because one week after our home-town showing in New York City this December 10th, Sneaker Con has a long-awaited date with Tinsel-town. Sneaker Con’s first event in Los Angeles, CA arrives during one of the busiest shopping weekend of the year, and we’re bringing with us King Kong, our mascot of the month, who is ready to climb to Hollywood Hills in search of the most dedicated sneakerheads in the area.
