The only specifically stated ’Year of the Snake’ Supras dropped back in March when a YOTS Owen hit in black and orange. Shortly after that release, the Crown brand debuted a higher silhouette in the Supra Owen Mid. Put these together, and we see a new ‘Year of the Snake’ Owen Mid taking advantage of the fact that most of the other brands left these styles back in the first quarter around Chinese New Year. They do it well with a ‘Black Cement’-ish approach to the colors and blocking, plus a bright mint green outsole for a fresh twist. Check them out up close below, then grab yours straight from Supra.

Clearly influenced by Nike’s featherweight LunarLon cushioning platform. the Supra Owen visually resembles the first Powerlines thanks to its side panel ribbons. But maybe it’s more like the Rosherun, having gone for the lightweight casual running niche and having enough success to give a midtop silo a go. The new Owen Mid is obviously higher than its lowtop brethren, and you’ll notice an equally substantial change with the newly exteriorized heel counter.
