In 1982, working with the track and field department at the University of Oregon, adidas developed a new running shoe and ended up naming it after the University – the Adidas Oregon. The shoe was later redesigned in 1993 for a more modern style and increased cushioning via the thick midsole. Adidas is reintroducing the original Oregon Ultra colorways in its Consortium Series.
