Project Bluefoot Intelligent Design Competition Air Jordan XXV (25) Finalists

The Project Bluefoot Intelligent Design competition has brought together some of the world’s best undiscovered amateur sneaker designers. Entrants in the contest were invited to design a concept for the upcoming Air Jordan XXV and were asked to show their inspiration, sketches and the final product to be judged by a panel of judges, including Jordan Brand’s own Jason Mayden and D’Wayne Edwards. Fifteen finalists have been selected so far, so keep reading after the jump to take a look at the finished version of each of the final 15 designs. For more on the competition, as well as pics of the sketches and inspiration from each finalist, you can get over to ProjectBluefoot and spend some time taking a closer look at the finer points of this intriguing design contest.

THE FIRST ONES LOOK GOOD! ID COP! DEF!

  5. C Bol Says:

The shoe design by Frederic Roy looks like it would be a good design for a Dwayne Wade signiture Jordan shoe

  6. nick Says:

space !!! kinda nice, but to techno for me …

  7. zach Says:

some of these are hot…the one with pe’s already made was tuff

  9. Nick Says:

Only 1 or 2 have potential to me.

Alot of them look like Team Jordans or AND1s.

  10. Retro Boy Says:

    the first ones are hot

  14. urbanmiracle Says:

all these shits look like space kicks.

  15. Michael Says:

I like the second one and I agree they look d-wade-ish.

  16. Bossman Says:

The first one’s are clean as helllll!!!! The one’s that look like the 2k9′s are ugly as helllll!!!!

  17. AIR JORDAN CANADA Says:

HONESTLY THERE GOOD BUT NOT JORDAN BRAND GOOD IF YOUR TAKIN IT TO THE FUTURE IUNNO CUZ I DONN’T LIKE FUTURISTIC SHOES I LIKE OL SKOOL MIX WIT NEW

  18. dat.nigha Says:

for some strange reasons i like the Joe Sattler joints. if it had a reg sole id be hype about em

  19. tiki Says:

^^^well considering the 2k9′s, it all looks futuristic from now on. as long as jordan brand dont have tinker, then yerh we’re prob wont see the classics again…

anyway yerh i agree that 1st one is tough. i like the 3rd last one of Weixian Wang. reminds me of the 22′s.

  20. a.k. Says:

The 1st ones are nice…the rest look like converse and reeboks

  21. OGJayB Says:

Did I miss something. I thought the Air Jordan 2009 wasn’t the Jordan 24. JB made a point of saying it wasn’t the AJ24. Now they are making a AJ25? How does that work? Man I’m sooo tired of JB its ridiculous. The 1st one is the least WACK!

  22. Yu-Ming Says:

^ Don’t mean to be an ass but perhaps what you ‘missed’ is the title and the first sentence.

  23. michael Says:

Doug Vandervalk’s design is fucking freshhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    John Lee’s one’s nice too!

  24. bobbaaa Says:

1 was good rest look loike and 1

  25. PrettyBoiiShaq Says:

Wat The FucK is This Shit U gotta B Kidin me.. None Of These R Worthy 2 Become A Numer!!!

They Fucked Up With The 23 && 2k9′s They Could atleast make sumthing worth the wait…..

P.S Why The Fuck Do These Look Like Robo Cop Should B Wear Them…

FuCk Yuh JORDAN BRAND JUSS RELEASE THE RETRO’S

  26. KMTB Says:

In The Order Of 1 and 2…..

  27. Jordan Fan Says:

3/4 of these look too futuristic. Jordan will never ever become this fancy bright color stuff so dont bother trying. The 1st shoes or the Frederic Roys are the only ones that deserve to be looked at.

  28. mobstar251 Says:

MAN THAT 1ST SHOE IS THE BEST 1 MAYBE THATS WHY THEY HAVE IT FIRST ON THE PAGE…..GIVE THAT MAN A JOB JORDAN BRAND I WOULD COP THOSE 4SHO!

  29. xbjsx Says:

i see jordan brand has taken their designs to a more modern style
a good move; maybe not for retro lovers however
the first one is the only one distinctive to my taste

  30. Daniel Says:

Doug Vandervalks all the way! Now they’re fucking ‘Space Jam’!

  31. naxair Says:

    Tom Matic. Repecta!

  32. Matt Damon Says:

Knowing that the JB designers have no taste I want to see the ones they rejected. I bet those are the good ones. As far as these goes I cosign with OGJayB the first are the least wack.

  33. tmonki94 Says:

    1st and last are clean

  34. KICKadict Says:

    betcah theyre costy

  35. rev one*der Says:

this is a perfect example why people need to take it back to the 70′s and 80′s, when you actually put a pencil to paper… sneakers made on computers are wack!!!!!

  36. Feet 1st Says:

alot of nice designs the 25 look to be promising

  37. marius16 Says:

    im feeling doug vandervalk’s

  38. max Says:

ben adams kean looks the best but there all pretty ugly

  39. gube Says:

anybody know what software was used to create these renderings?…

  40. TreyMarc Concepts Says:

Just like the last one by Brian Moughty, MINUS the camo like design…but these are nice…everything else and i mean EVERYTHING ELSE! looks like a Jordan already made…or a Converse(Wade’s) not impress with anything else…Brian Moughty i dont know you but you have my vote homie…the 1st one looks like a combination of the Hypermax meets Lebron’s newest shoe…NOTHING ORIGINAL there…

  41. Klav Says:

Lee’s design looks eerily similar to LBJ VIIs imho.

  42. Smoove Criminal! Says:

Most of us agree that the first ones is whats poppin so JB make it happen!

  43. Cisco Says:

Lets go play basketball on the moon baby!!!

  44. Masakur Says:

the designs by John Lee & Alvin Huang are the best looking imo

  45. The Real Chauncey Says:

The first one is ill…not sick…the others look like copies from other brands the only other one that comes close is the one that look like the yeezys with the extra ankle…maybe the other designs could be team shoes….

  46. krammar04 Says:

    first one wins

  47. shenohl scott Says:

the joints wit da player exclusives are sweet

  48. Kenny Says:

The only ones I would even consider are Joe Sattler’s. Everything else is garbage.

  49. Tallboi_007 Says:

I like shoes 1 and 4. All the others are sum straight bullshit. Mane they really need to stop

  50. qnzman989 Says:

the 1st and last ones could really be nice, but most of these are too similar to styles that are already out

  51. Sam Bowie Says:

Sam Bowie endorses the first design.

  52. Feet 1st Says:

I mean there really is alot of nice work here, just hire everyone of them JB. some are not good enough to be called the 25 but they sure could be a team jordan. I swear there is only two i dont like and the fourth ones get my vote.

  53. iPLEDGEalligence2JORDANS Says:

    53!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. Sn3aker_H0lic Says:

Those are some amazing designs. Every one of those artists did an excellent job.

  55. Shawn Chris Says:

    Doug Vandervalk and John Lee

  56. Jordan Head Freshman Says:

I like the first and the 7th…. the rest are sorta funky… like ET should be rocking them… especially the 4th from last.

  57. scorpioanonymous Says:

guys…….basketball shoe is not all about look, altho it’s important, but function, concepts are also key for a product, I would suggest you guys to click the link, and learn more about the designs, instead of judging them by 1st look.

Maybe some of you like the 1st one, but imagine it on your foot, it looks stiff and I don’t like that heel shape.

  58. chris freeman Says:

Too true scorpioanonymous—–its a performance shoe. i like the inspirations shown through the final design and technology on some shoes found the on project bluefoot page. Im liking Tom Matic’s & Sindri P. Sigurdsson’s . Im voting for you dudes

  59. torrey hurt Says:

You computer geeks out there know nothen about kicks so stop showing your ignorance. On to my point I haven’t been as excited to see a fresh design like the first one in two years. Jordan brand get your head out the sand and write john lee a check. i would cop two pairs of these if they dropped this saturday

  60. slim dude Says:

for the dumb ass who said u tired of the futuristic crap and want somethin original.. all of these were original ……well impressed one of these designers should b hired!! i only seen a few i didnt like. the best ones are john lees, yurri mials, alvin huangs, and dougs,… and yeah

  61. Jhood Says:

im not 2 thrilled bout any of them 4 real

  62. Cristiano felipe Says:

Man, all are wack!! I see on nicekicks, the honorable mentions look pretty good! but here, I just wanna know why they selected’em…Ben Adams design is not an air jordan for me, don’t talk about Austin Jamacan..his design..man..it’s wack!! just wait and see why they choose’em among the others..I’m not a designer but, I know when I see a shit in my face…so, maybe they are friends..

  63. Wonderbread Says:

The Lee’s are nice but something about them look too much like a team Jordan. The Huang’s are different than all the other J’s, but they still have that Jordan look where there are no other shoes on the market like them. The Doug Vandervalk’s are SICK!!! I wouldn’t wear those just to rock, but as a basketball shoe they look amazing! It’s like having a built in Ankle Brace!! Definitely would cop the Vandervalk’s and the Huang’s!!

  64. Wonderbread Says:

The Roy’s are nice too but they look way to much like the Converse Wade’s.
