Nike Zoom Kobe V – Five New Colorways

Nike Zoom Kobe V – Five New Colorways

zoom-kobe-v

Frankly, it’s about time.  When the Nike Zoom Kobe IV debuted in grand fashion last December, we saw a huge spread of colourways.  It was unprecedented at the time, but we had no clue that we’d see that collection dwarfed by the sum total of drops.  In fact, there may have been more ZK4s released since the NBA Finals ended in June than there were of the first five Air Jordans in all their OG colourways(!).  With this as the backdrop, it’s no surprise to see the latest from KB24 in a bunch of colours already.

The Nike Zoom Kobe V (5) has emerged just as NBA teams begin their pre-season schedules.  We see it above in five different colourways.  Aside from the blue and gold pair on the far left of that diagonal lineup, they all follow the ZK4 trend of offering slight differences in colour blocking and application but all use the LA Lakers purple, gold and black, sometimes adding balance with whites and greys/silvers.  Possibly the most interesing feature in this year’s model is actually the omission of Flywire.  Then again, the multi-coloured carbon fiber that wraps the ankles is quite impressive.
