adidas was doing some intriguing, if crazy, stuff with Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers before he left for Nike. Aside from his eternal urge to be like (better than?) Mike, we think that some special treatment from Beaverton had something to do with it. From the looks of this Nike Air Flightposite, it seems clear that the Swoosh was courting KB as far back as 1999 (and of course they tried to sign him out of high school). It’s the ‘standard’ eggplant purple Flightposite, but this one has ‘KOBE’ embroidered in yellow on the heel strap. I read somewhere before that the Flightposites were supposed to be Kobe’s first signature shoes until he signed with adidas thus the creation of the Eggplant and Gold colorways (Lakers colors).

Damn, you new jacks dont know jack shit……these are 100% authentic………Nike would make special PEs with Kobes name on it and randomly sent it to Kobe before he signed to Nike to lure him into signing with NIke…

Kobe used to rock Jordan PE’s before he signed with Nike, right after Addidas dropped him. These are not fake…these kids just dont know about PE’s they still on their little dunk game..little hypebeast.
