If you’re a consistent reader of Sneaker News, you’re familiar with our feeds of Bespoke iD productions. Unlike the adorned and long-missed 255 Studio that was invite-only, anyone can make an appointment for a rare Bespoke iD experience… if you have $820 lying around. But the results are extraordinary, being able to obtain colors, materials and features that are certainly unavailable through the regular Nike iD option and rarely even seen on Nike releases.
Sneaker Freaker’s very own, M.A.F.I.A., was in the States earlier this month on a slew of sneaker related events, including that of Sneaker Friends in Hotlanta. But before she headed back down under, a-must on the to-do list was going through to 21 Mercer for her own Bespokes to be manifested. While the pair is still in production you can check out her process and the choices she opted for; her influence being the Hot Lava Air Tech Challenge. Check out the full review at SF, and stay tuned for the final result.

I dont know about that pair. But the whole idea of this bespoke thing is dream like. I mean you get to make what ever materialed air force one you can imagine. To you what shoe can be better than that? JB needs to get on this with the 6 or 11. The next step is to be able to shape your own shoe. WHAT?

Man his shoes are fucking gay! Straight Nike ID worthy

The ability to make any design you want, and you make a piece of shit.
Give me a white one white AF1 High and I'll be happy.

WOW that's the best put together bespoke I have seen yet! Props! hahaha yall should give your wives 850 and let them make em for you!
but let me say this… the mats and bespokes i have seen other than these are junk…. I really need to make one
May 26th, 2010 at 11:37 pm
i love the idea of the bespoke, but why must it cost 820. i mean, id think it would be possible to get it down to around 300-350 to make a pair. id love to do it, but i could never justiy $800 to never wear a shoe
May 26th, 2010 at 11:52 pm
i don't really see where the tan/beige color around the toe box and eyelets comes into play…
May 27th, 2010 at 5:58 am
I'm pretty sure it's 3M. The beige look is the reflective look it gets at certain angles.
But don't quote me, I've been known to talk utter nonsense at times.
May 27th, 2010 at 6:00 am
Yeah, because white on white is what the bespoke idea is all about.
Way to use your grey matter snapperhead.

It seems a lot of the people that do bespokes decide on the spot. The forces the woman went for look like some 25th anniversary ladies GR's.

Mafia is a guy. he worked with Lori, who is a girl.
May 27th, 2010 at 5:13 pm
So in last picture, who is who? Girl in the green and the (dude?) in the black? Girl in green looks like your average person, would not have guessed she's a sneaker head at all….
May 27th, 2010 at 8:17 pm
i agree to but then there would be no special releases
May 27th, 2010 at 11:49 pm
in the last picture the girl in green is lori lobenstine from claw money and the girl in the black is mafia from sneaker freaker !!
May 29th, 2010 at 9:42 pm
lucky their gay, cos so am I!!!
May 29th, 2010 at 9:43 pm
yes yes the confusion of me being a dude is once in contention hahah. Yes, I am indeed a chick! It's the new eras and dress sense that throw peeps hahaha! I don't work with Lori, I work for Sneaker Freaker. Was invited to Atlanta for Sneaker Friends and then made my way to NY and LA on my way back to Australia. Izy hooked me up nicely at Bespoke and my original inspiration was the OG Hot Lave Air Tech Challenge – inspiration wise it was just the colours I wanted to use. Izy flipped it all out nicely to create something that was probably as far removed from my original idea as possible, in order to make something unique and not just another copy of an existing shoe on another silhouette.
The silver toe box and upper is a new metallic stretch leather that Izy tells me looks bananas in real life, so went with something a little flash. The swoosh is an inverted leather panel in turn making it a brushed suede material, there is actually no 3M on the shoe. The toe panel is an off white suede, closer to white than cream, just doesn't come up well on the screen…the juxtaposition of the suede on the metallic silver leather comes up trumps in real life Izy assures me, so I'm down to do something different on the AF1 instead of keeping it something more literal and un thought provoking. There is also 3 cross stitch stiches in the side of the outer toe panel – ala Kaws (but I went for 3 as this shoe is a triple XXX rated pussy poppin shoe!). A few other changes were made before this went into production after the screen print shown on my article at Sneaker Freaker, so I'm really interested to see what these look like in the flesh. I stuck with an icy sole a top the white midsole, cos like most of us, I'm a mad sucker for iced out soles! I'll make sure to post these as soon as they arrive down under…but til then, – and Mache hit my website for mixes baby http://yo-mafia.com http://yo-mafia.com/mixes/
Thanks for all your comments peeps, whether good or bad…I appreciate all of the feedback!

Yea, this is Lori, aka the girl in the green. I was there making mine with my GIRL Mafia. LOL. Her kicks are gonna be fly as hell I bet! And fyi, I run femalesneakerfiend.com, check it out! The largest website dedicated to girls and women who love their kicks. I don't work with Claw Money, but much respect to that mean sneakerhead too.
