Converse Basketball is without a superstar endorsee, so it makes sense to turn the aesthetic dial back to an era when the One Star was number one on-court. The Converse Free Agent is a new hightop basketball sneaker designed for outdoor use on the asphalt. Unlike playground models like the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Outdoor and AJ2010 Outdoor, these have a strictly old-school look about them, coming off somewhere between the famed Weapon and Star Player models. The pair pictured above is done in a lush, lightly tumbled black leather that gives off a silvery shine like pewter when the light is right. The Converse Free Agent is set to hit retail in Fall 2010, so click the jump below for more images and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via NK
