To ‘anodize’ something is to process metal in such a way to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on its surface. Probably most commonly seen in your day-to-day life on aluminum skillets, the term is a perfect fit for one of the (literally) slickest AJ1 adaptations we’ve seen yet. The Air Jordan 1 Anodized is perfect for winter with its Foamposite-like molded one-piece uppers, a shoe that will give you some extra protection from the elements without being fully ‘winterized’. Three new colorways have just hit retailers, including an all-black-everything edition, one that keeps black for accents on a University Blue base, and another with those same accents, but crafted in Voltage Cherry just for women/girls. Check out shots of all three after the jump and grab one or all three of these December drops a few days early from Extra Butter.
