Remember that Sk8-Hi-like hightop we showed you along with an unnamed lowtop from Taka Hayashi’s spring 2011 collection for Vans Vault? Turns out it was indeed a Vans Vault Sk8-Hi, a classic silhouette Hayashi has given his own twist. Not as directly Native American-leaning as his previous efforts, the Taka Hayashi x Vans Sk8-Hi adds a layer of ostrich leather to the outside of a canvas base for a look that manages to blend neutral shaes of brown, grey and off-white so as to stand out from all the rest. Their leather laces run through the newfound shroud and pulltabs come in on the lateral ankles for easy on/off.
