Jordan Brand debuted the Air Jordan 2011 on Dwyane Wade’s feet during the Miami Heat’s Christmas Day beatdown of the LA Lakers and we got a closer view a couple days later, but this is by far our best look yet. It’s immediately clear in looking at the AJ2011 that we’ve got something like Elephant Print 2K11 on our hands here with the streaky almost zebra-like pattern embossed into the upper, one that serves to accentuate the perforations and insinuate a hidden image. Above this extended ‘mudguard’ you’ll find mesh ankle cutout that means in combination with the mesh tongue and the left one’s perforated branding, this is designed to be the most breathable Air Jordan yet, even surpassing last year’s ‘windowed’ design. OK these were supposed to have a changeable cushioning system, like the XXI. My question is are the insoles the cushioning and you can change them out. If so and the Zoom and AIR cushioning are built into the insoles, I will cop these. This would be the perfect evolution of the idea of changeable cushioning. And they DO look better than the 2009 and 2010 models. Good Work JB.

I'm really liking these! I might actually get multiple color ways. I especially like that they have gone back to the interchangeable zoom and max air cushioning. This time it is just not in the heel, but the full length of insole. A release day cop for sure.

The carbon fiber is the same, but the insoles are different. There will be a set of Zoom insoles and a set of air insoles.

From the info I have seen, one insole has full length Max Air but the Zoom Air insoles are heel & forefoot which is a massive disappointment. I am hoping that Zoom Air insoles are double stacked.

ugh… im done with year jordans. I gave them a shot these last couple of years, but JB just dont make jordans like they use too. Im going to return the 2009s to eastbay and get a gift card as a refund. So be on the look out for the white/red 2010s in size 11 on eastbay.com if u want them.
The only reason why I kept buying the year jordans was because I liked imagening how the new jordans will look like. Kinda how we all use to do back in the day.
Im joining the rest of you guys who only buy retros.

Better than JB's previous two efforts, but the white part of the upper looks too much like the 2009…which was not a good look. Regardless I think JB may finally be heading in the right direction again though.

Here's an honest opinion. Unlike all the rest of the bandwagon haters in here that bash something they know NOTHING about. What's really going to kill this shoe is the PRICE TAG. Other than that it has a small chance of succeeding. Very small. I bet they're comfortable too. I'm telling you, if these retail at about $125 – $135 range, they'll sell. $160+, they sit and someone gets fired for creating a fail. Hated the 2k9's. Even more with the $190 price tag. I loved the 2010's but I wasn't paying no damn $170 for them. I waited for a price drop. JB needs to be careful if they want to sell these. The consumer RULES.

Have to admit was very disappointed when i first saw then a few weeks back but now I am looking forward to these and future colorways. Overall better than J has put out in a few years. Hopefully a sign of what may come by 2015…. fingers crossed.

The excessive disdain for this model shoe of the Jordan Brand is somewhat hilarious; if hate is expressed, it would be dutiful if some of the statements were as near to objective as possible – There should be some detailed bullet points as to why the shoe is so "horrendous," and how this model is not as artistic as other Air Jordan Brand models. There should be a valiant effort to convince the audience on why they are so "ugly;" if this is the expressed opinion. Otherwise, opinions are just a reflection of subjective personal taste. The shoe, although not as flashy and edgy as previous models, they are very crisp and reflects the post-modern mode of the 21st Century, and the age of a man, that many consider to be iconic. This model is very neat and grown; it must be my age that invokes appreciation for the shoe. If the Nike corporation builds upon this direction of design, the future is in good standing.

I copped a pair of these at the NIKE outlet for $95 with tax. Great fit, color, everything but the original price is SICK on these shoes. I just can't bring myself to pay $170+ tax for a pair of kix that I will just walk around in. I don't hoop anymore. bad knees. These are a must in the collection. Only pair I don't have is the 2010's. That hole in the shoe was just ugly! sorry JB….that was whack
