It was about four years ago that we saw the first ‘Bones’ collaboration between Vans and Japanese brand WTAPS, and while we’ve seen these two companies work together in the intervening months, the above marks the only return to this Powell-leaning theme aside from a pair of Sherpa Sk8-His last winter. And in fact, WTAPS has their own in-house ‘Crossbones’ canvas lowtops out as of a couple weeks ago, but that does little to dampen the significance of this new WTAPS x Vans Burgundy Bones Pack. Consisting of the Vans Sk8-Hi, Era and Chukka Mid, the Burgundy Bones add white embroidery to a rich red base that’s sure to be a hit when they drop as an Asia-exclusive later this year.
