Since the return of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in early 2009, we’ve seen a variety of Ken Griffey Jr.’s signature kicks retroed by Nike Sportswear, but none has stood out above the AGM1 in terms of significance or number. That probably won’t change with the release of the above pictured model, though you could pretty easily argue that without the 1995-born silhouette upon which it’s based, the Air Griffey Max may have never existed. The Nike Air Max Griffey Fury pairs a full-length Max Air cushion with the lines of the Air Diamond Fury courtesy of Hyperfuse construction and an overlay whose matte finish comes off a bit like Foamposite. Yeah its a shame how Nike and JB takes advantage of the young folks today with cheaper quality that they make kicks with,fake hyper combos, and the whole nine. Overall these are a failure just combo foams nothing else.

I agree.. I actually think this is a massive upgrade on many levels. And not to knock the purists out there because 98% of the time I prefer retroed shoes to come back to life with no modifications! I think in this instance if you get over the fact that they aren't the same thing you wore as a child , you will see that they preserved all of the original styling ques and enhanced the materials utilzed without drastically changing the upper. Now I know shoe fans are getting tired of seeing the 360 max pop up on every shoe but lets face it , it has definetly worked on several models. And if you go look at the original midsole/outer on the og diamond fury and consider it dropping in 2011/2012 it seems really dated. So in opinion this works and even if you folks out there dont agree one thing thats true is based on the prior success of the griffey w/360 max midsole these will definetly sell.
