The Air Max flagship series from Nike Running featured Flywire uppers during 2009 and ’10 and switched to Hyperfuse this year, and it looks like lightweight and super-breathable beats ‘just’ lightweight, as the Nike Air Max+ 2012 will again feature a two-layered Fuse upper. The silhouette’s rounded lines will remind some of the Free Run 2, but you get considerably more cushioning thanks to a heel-to-toe Max Air cushion. If the universe ends next year along with the Mayan calendar, does the Air Max 2012 represent going out on top, or was one of its predecessors more impressive in your eyes?
