It was clear from the sheer number of positive comments on El Cappy’s recent Air Jordan VI ‘True Blue ‘that Sneaker News readers found his latest colorway-copying customs were the type of thing that’d sell quick were they ever released to retail. Also in those comments was one reader’s assertion that they were a “good custom, but better in black,” a reference to a shoe you now see pictured above. A fitting move from a guy whose nickname looks like some kind of twisted roman numeral, IVII’s Air Jordan VI ‘Black Cement’ custom job once again combines the AJ6 with one of the original AJ3 colorways. Taking the Varsity Red shade off these Sixes draws attention away from the Infrared debate and onto this pair’s rich black suede upper; how do they compare to the aforementioned ‘True Blue’ edition? Check these out after the jump and let us know your thoughts on the current state of custom sneakers.
