Over the weekend, Sneaker News gave you a glimpse at what to expect from adidas Skateboarding moving into the new year, and of course, the Ciero lowtop won’t be the only upcoming release. Joining that now familiar design will be a new model that opts for one of the popular trends in skate shoe design instead of adidas’ own classic soccer shoes. The adidas Jonbee follows in the footsteps of blockbuster hits like the Vans del Barco series and Nike SB’s monster Stefan Janoski signature, their silo quite similar to the ‘Boat Shoe’ variant of the latter that released a short while back thanks to a prominent heel lace. With more and more sneaker companies incorporating classic styles into their lifestyle and skate options, we can’t help but wonder what will be the next big thing after the docksider look cools off, but for now, adidas is poised to move into the next year with direct competition for the leading brands. Will the adidas Jonbee have what it takes to compete with the established favorites?
