The Nike Air Max 1 turns 25 this year, and there are four different colorways on tap for the spring season that Nike Sportswear has constructed using the same formula. Each pair uses the exact same range of materials, namely the suede and mesh combination that works so well on these old school runners from the mid ’90s and before. They all have white midsoles and underlays, and in between you’ll find one color accented by another on the Swoosh and mudguard. On this particular pair, the mix of two green tones reminds us that the outdoors will soon again be vibrant, while a hint of yellow on the bottom can either call out to the sun, or hint at Nike’s University of Oregon connections. Love my AM1's but that mesh is the frickin hardest thing to keep clean. Once its gets dirty, time to get a new pair.
