Nike LeBron 9 iD Foamposite

Nike iD teased us last week with a tantalizing clue regarding an upcoming limited-edition customizable option for the Nike LeBron 9 iD, which was later revealed to be a Foamposite-like material on the upper weave panel. How sick is it? LeBron 9 designer Jason Petrie couldn’t stop toying around with the new option over the weekend, showing us some of his inspired iD creations. Here we have a look at actual samples of the upcoming LeBron 9 iD in the new embossed material, and it’s clear that the new three-dimensional add-on gives the LeBron 9 a new level of style that gives the sneaker some new life; these ‘Dunkman’, ‘Cavs HWC’, and ‘Penny’ samples should be enough to lure you in so don’t miss out when this new option goes live on Nike iD tomorrow!

    1st…..and I like the ideal!!

  2. keyvon Says:

well thats about a the shittiest idea ive ever seen

  3. BuddhaShark Says:

Nike rarely does wrong. But this is almost as bad as Jordan AF1 fusions.

  4. Gucci Mane Says:

2nd. and you suck at life… WELL DAYM!!! BURRRR

  5. Harding Says:

Wonder what the price on these are going to be. Foam material+Lebron sig line, I'm guessing $265. The Foam just seems so out of place but then again I am not a big fan of the Lebron 9's. I wonder tho why this is a Cavs colorway but the Jordan IV is a Knicks colorway? They are the exact same colors and I tend to believe the Jordan IV is a Cavs colorway as well.

  6. kicks Says:

I've never heard of anything being 'limited' on NikeiD. So does that mean that they will only take a certain number of orders and then close it out?

Also, Nike needs to stop raising their prices on EVERYTHING. Stuff is the exact same but $10-$20 more expensive.

  7. chris Says:

i like the whole idea behind it but they should have taken more time to figure out a way to make it flow with the shoe

  8. @ajones08 Says:

I'm not a hater. I like this in all blue black swoosh and icy sole.

  9. D. Johnson Says:

Different, but I dont see why foamposite material on this shoe would be necessary. I mean whats the benefit

  10. KRAYZIE47 Says:

Got to see these in person yesterday, and it’s just a foamposite-esque material. It’s not really foam. Not really a good idea, nonetheless.

  11. kevin Says:

the black with the royal blue foam and icy bottom is as far as it should go

  12. @ItsLosNY Says:

Looks completely forced to me, I honestly would have been happy with icy soles/speckle option and some new colors and that's it

  13. TMSballer Says:

I tend not to rock ugly sneakers, spenden my money on heat not garbage.

  14. Jon Russo Says:

    hypebeast's delight

  15. BJ24 Says:

I love the idea and ID samples for the most part usually suck. You have to come up with colors you like, cats have no creativity in the shoe game.

  16. spankmymonkey Says:

Nike Air Foamposite iD is next to come.

  17. Nutty Says:

I'm not going to hype up this option but SN did no justice posting these pics instead of others I've seen. And those others are FIRE! To me, this is a no-brainer. LeBrons beasting on Jordans all day.

  18. Shoebody Says:

The foam waves still look sloppy to me

  19. Pap Says:

Did you not see how fast this months air force (elephant print option) sold out…when they say limited, IT'S LIMITED!!!

  20. Keyvon Says:

Its breaks up the flow of the shoe, at least in material, ad I'd argue that the carbon fibre originals do something of the same. Against the tens of must cops and even other PE's, the 9's couldnt even hold a flame, but thats just me, wake me up for the 10's

also If ya'll are so in to the foam, grab the galaxy ones or the red metallics, dont go splashing around in this weak sauce.

  21. A-BOOG Says:

Like the cw options and speckles

  22. hoop_dreamer Says:

Nike Air Foamposite iD coming soon. Hah-hah

  23. @_SteezyWonder Says:

Honestly, I really dislike all Foams and nearly all Lebrons, but these are pretty good.

  24. De'Quan Rose Says:

    dope idea

  25. phillykid Says:

now this is where the true hype beats will come out

  26. kha_boogie Says:

nike gets the benefit…. hypebeast love "popular" kicks….. R.I.P to the foamposite material

  27. CNE Says:

why add foam? doesn't it make the shoe heavier? why have flyrwire to make it lighter but add foam to make it heavier…the definition of counterproductivness

  28. marcus Says:

i kinda wish you could have all the other options without the foam material.

  29. Ricky Rosay Says:

so gay, you have to have a foam side wall, but the speckle mid sole is dirty sick!!!! i want a pair just for that
