Nike Air Foamposite One – Penny Hardaway ‘Shooting Stars’ All-Star PE

With the 2012 NBA All-Star Game taking place in Orlando, Penny Hardaway called in a favor to NSW designer Mark Dolce (who designed the Zoom Rookie) for a special 1-of-1 PE. The design was inspired by Penny’s celebrated tenure with the Orlando Magic, and with Penny partaking in some of the All-Star Weekend festivities, he needed some Foamposites to fit the occasion. Here’s a look at the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Shooting Stars’ All-Star PE; it features a white Foamposite upper reminiscent of one of Penny’s legendary OG Player Exclusives, but with a unique star detailing on the black lace placket. The interior is lined with royal blue, with special insoles that read ‘Ballin is what I was born to do’ and a sick ‘Penny’ logo inspired by the classic Orlando Magic logo. The translucent outsole also gives way to additional star detailing embedded on the bottom of the outsole. Sickest Air Foamposite you’ve seen? Funny, i remember back when the dopes ( what we call foamposites in b-more) first came out back in the day. they were the ugliest, outrageously priced sneaker ever. but we loved them anyway. now everybody gotta have em. imo the p.e is better than the galaxy. i think that all us so-called sneaker heads should boycott nike for awhile until the do right by us.. remember without the consumer the can not exist

Penny gets all the heat, while the fans/supporters get plain boring cw's or 20 pair run's of the Galaxy. But you the man Pen' ... much love and respect. These are straight fire. I guess if they released, Nike would make them limited, and therefore hyped, and therefore ruined. Where as at least i can enjoy them this way in their pure simple form. If only in photos.
