The ongoing debate of “Is $250 worth it?” for the Nike LeBron 9 Elite continues, but with sick colorways like this upcoming ‘Varsity Maize’, it’ll be hard to resist once they release. Some nicknames have been floating around for the Varsity Maize, like ‘Bumblebee’ and the Kobe-specific ‘Bruce Lee’, but it’s been agreed that the Varsity Maize is an outstanding colorway. The little hits of red do ruin it, and so does 250 price tag, might as well buy some lighting 4s for 400 and they dont have any hits of red on them.
These go harder than those electrolime banana foams, but not as hard as those tokyo jordan 5s.

Another big miss for this CW. 360 air unit should match main CW (varsity maize/yellow) to be dope. But for a $250 price tag, an easy pass for me. A $95 KD IVs is much better choice...a bang for my buck.
All of you complaining about the $250 retail price are the same ones who've complained (and still do) about the quality NIKE has been realeasing. You want quality? Well hear you go. Either nut up or shut up. I swear 3/4 of these cats in the sneaker game got this ish phucked up. Thumb me down all you want because chances are my statement applies to you. #truthhurts
These are nice but at $250, I'm only thinking about the home and south beach colorway. If I REALLY wanted a black and yellow performance basketball shoe, I'd just buy the black & yellow huarache 2k4's. Take THAT Nike!
I just wanna know where Sneakernews gets their feedback. I haven't heard anybody really say they want this so who classified these as a "HOT" colorway? Nike is slowly turning into the Apple of the sneaker world. A ton of product thats no better than their competitor yet the marketing has a cult following. The sneaker bubble is going to burst something vicious once the Lebron 10+ hits $315, SMH!

As far as Elite's, these are my favorite! Not a fan of gold and I'm not sold on the un-south beaches

I think this could be one of the greatest performance basketball shoes of all time but I'm not feeling this CW. And that price tag hits me like a slug to the chest every time i see it

This pair is not only about the cw, they're supposed to be an upgrade.
to me if you have 1 of 1 joints its no higher grade than that...unless you getting straight from Tinker, Hiroshi, etc... with a strip of Foamposite down the side you can't lose performance wise.
