Nike Unveils Team USA Olympic Medal Podium Gear

Nike Unveils Team USA Olympic Medal Podium Gear

Nike Olympics Podium 1

It isn’t at all MVPresumptuous that Nike has been designing their podium gear for USA Olympic athletes well in advance of the 2012 London Games.  Historically, the US is the most oft-golded nation, and as Global Olympic Creative Director Martin Lotti noted, “The world is watching and we want to make sure the athlete looks and feels good in celebration of their achievement.”  For the first time, the Swoosh is offering three distinct outfits for different sports, top-to-bottom outfits that bring together the style and comfort of modern warmups with some of Beaverton’s best footwear styles.  The track athletes as well as those from other traditional sports will suit up in the 21st C. Windrunner and Nike Flyknit Trainer, ballers of varying sorts should show up in the MKII Jacket and Air Force 1 Low and the rest (archery, boxing, cycling, etc.) are slated to accept their medals in the Varsity Bomber Classic and an equally updated classic in the LunarLon-cushioned Blazer Mid LR.  Check out these outfits and the sneakers up close below, let us know who’s got the winning look and stick with Sneaker News for more 2012 Olympic shoes and gear.
