Nike Huarache Light Free
June 26th, 2012 by John K. | 3 comments

Older classics like the Kukini and Footscape have been revamped with the Free-soled footbed, but before you can devise an opinion on Nike Sportswear allowing ‘Free’dom to reign in a seemingly unlimited reach, it appears like another gem is gonna get the Free treatment – the Nike Air Huarache Light. This Huarache-based runner was a selective choice for early-decade collaborations with Stussy, Beams, and other notables, but let’s not forget that the Huarache Light was redone before with an Air Burst outsole. We’ve got a look at five colorways (with the beaming OG) headed for a Spring 2013 release below ($100 a pop), so check ‘em out and stay tuned for more updates on Nike Retro releases! Photos: zzazzin

these are UGLY! just bring the OG ones back.
Free soles are very comfy yet pretty ugly. They need to do some redesigning or stop putting those soles on classics!
Seriously, just give me the retro of the real thing! The only kicks so far that Free soles have looked good on, are shoes it was designed to go on, like the Free Run 2+. If I want this kind of technology for running and working out, I'll go and buy the new stuff (which I have). Using this sole on the Hua Light Ultra Marine upper is just wrong.
