Solebox is known for having some of the most limited collaborations in the industry, but they took the scarcity vibe to new heights by canceling a trio of beautiful Asics Gel classic runners. Regular Sneaker News readers will remember, though, that before those Onitsuka Tigers, before the Puma States and 25th Anniversary ‘Tilapia’ Reebok Workouts, the Berlin boutique had teased an upcoming project with US running specialists, Saucony. They had together issued the ‘Three Brothers’ Shadow 5000s last fall that featured color schemes perhaps too close to let the Gel Pack come to retail, but Hikmet and co. have never given us anything quite like the new Solebox x Saucony Shadow 5000 ‘Grey Devil’. The subdued counterpart to the ‘Pink Devil’ Shadow 5000s, these opt for just a hint of color on the middle eyelets and sockliner, letting the suede and leather build shine for itself. Expect these at select retailers in August and click through for more photos in the meantime.
