According to Nike, Kobe Bryant is a Lifestyle. Well, that, at least, is what Nike is attempting to convey with this Spring 2013 Kobe-branded model. Here’s a first look at the Nike Zoom Kobe 8 Lifestyle, which features a familiar profile (along the lines of the Kobe V-VII) with a surprising suede upper; the already low-pro Kobe concept is met with lifestyle-sneaker materials and accents, like the VacTech bulging toe and lace-placket and the stitched-on Swoosh on the medial side-wall of the shoe. The Kobe 8 Lifestyle is indeed the perfect mix of what we’ve come to know with the three most recent Zoom Kobe models with Nike Sportswear’s build techniques, but how will it fare in retail? man im really sick of Kobe and his low tops series these shoes are ugly ass fuck why cant he go back to the high top look. his shoes are more and more ugly
So I take it the "game" shoe will look like this, but with the usual plastic & flywire upper. If so, not bad. Sure people will complain that they look very similar to the past few iterations, but I for one like the consistent design elements. Maybe not this colorway, but I'm sure I'll have some Kobe 8 "game" shoes and lifestyle shoes in the my rotation come this spring.
These are a bit week but the material looks nice.
