For the first time in LeBron James’ lengthy career, he’ll be defending the throne instead of chasing after it. The moment he starts game 1 of 82 in November, he’ll be a defending champion, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be “watching the throne” and gunning for two straight. During Jay-Z and Kanye’s groundbreaking “Watch The Throne” world tour, a special edition LeBron 9 was created for their ballin’ VIP, designed with a Black/Gold upper and a Givenchy-inspired inner lining and laces. It’s quite an undertaking to recreate this insanely rare pair, but El Cappy just finished one off using the LeBron 9 Low as the base for this outstanding custom job, going as far as creating a golden lace-lock to match the luxurious high-end stance. A few extra angles are below, so give it a look and let us know what you think.
