For the most part, the Zoom Kobe line has been very traditional in terms of the location of the Swoosh. From the IV to the upcoming VIII, the Kobe signature line has presented the Swoosh right in the middle of the upper (the II and III progressively pushed it back to the heel), but a first look at the medial side of the shoe reveals the Swoosh sitting right at the ankle collar, revealing the specifically-engineered mesh-like shell on the upper. While the complete details of the Kobe VIII are yet to be revealed, this multi-angle view should give you an even closer idea of the entire design as we near an official reveal/launch in late December/early January. Multiple angles are just ahead so take a look and give us your thoughts on the evolution of the low-top Kobe and if Nike Basketball should continue with this approach.

Im clearly in the minority because I LOVE These , my fav Kobe prob since the 5's, anxiously awaiting to see which CWs pop up ...........the Black History Month esp could be good with this model
I love Kobes on court. I'm like this shoe, but i was really hoping they would have Dynamic Flywire ,& I'm not feeling the pattern on the upper. I'm gonna have to see these in real life,& more colorways. I may skip these & keep ballin in the KVII
These sneakers remind me of how the Lakers are playing right now: terrible. Maybe both of them have yet to surprise us.................................................0-0
Nike is really mean. Kobe is getting old, we all get that, but give him a little respect man. He helps Nike sell lots of shoes before, but now Nike comes up with this shit. Sad for Kobe...
we've all doubted the kobes before since the low top transition so ill be patient and wait untill i see some different colors and an in person look.
@Big_Infinite I'm thinking that's because this might be a sample. If not, and the mismatch was a conscious decision, then I agree, it looks sloppy and they should've used complimentary shades of yellow.
@4U2NV I don't think thats a "D"...I think it just so happened to be in that shape when they removed the rubber from the outsole.....but, I may be wrong!
