Michael Jordan in Air Jordan XX8 at Bobcats Practice
We heard tales of Michael Jordan putting his stamp of approval on the all new Air Jordan XX8 at the recent media launch, that talk ringing true in this set of photos. Pictured is Michael Jordan shooting around at a Charlotte Bobcats practice section, with the Air Jordan XX8 on his feet in what looks to be one of those graphic-uppered colorways that we previewed last week. Does seeing the GOAT himself wearing them change your mind about the Air Jordan XX8? How about a first on-feet look of these non-tonal colorways, and are you anticipating picking up a pair when they hit retail? A full gallery of Michael Jordan wearing the Air Jordan XX8 during a practice session with the Charlotte Bobcats is just below, so take a look and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
all ya haters should face, deal with, and learn to live with the following:
a lot could be said, bla bla bla, and so on, but let's put it short - notice this:just the fact that all ya are trying to do any of those so called comparisons of Kobe to MJ is the best proof of how uncomparably much better MJ is and how Kobe, LeBron and all those wannabe's simply don't measure up. Kobe (apart from that he is trying to copy MJ and his moves - which is good, we all should learn from the best) is the "king" of travelling and flop. LeBron is good, but nowhere close to the best - so all ya fans of Kobe, LeBron etc will just have to live with it - here a quote from Larry Bird (from one of those many absurd ridiculous comparisons) says it best: [newscaster]: "Larry, do You think that Your dream team would beat the 2012 dream team ? "[Larry Bird]: "hmm, first of all, as far as I know, there is just one Dream Team - the one and only Barcelona'92 Dream Team - and would we beat the USA2012 olympic team ? I gotta tell You, it's been a while since I played, but I think if we got back on the court now, we'd still beat'em for sure."- period.P.S.and speaking of MJ's Washington Wizards incident - MJ supporting the Wizards, putting on the sneakers and the uniform and getting back on court to show those guys how to play the game:first of all check out what I already wrote ("to show those guys how to play the game")second: I've been there and have seen that in then MCI center in D.C. in December when he put on that 50+ points performance- so here is a rhetorical question for all ya lovers of so called comparisons of "others" to Michael AIR Jordan :I can bet blind that whichever of those wannabe's (keep in mind it is not for no reason: "wanna be like Mike", not "like Kobe/LeBron or whatever else") you'd take at that age in those circumstances (after not being in training and game-playing for several years) would they play/perform like this:and the answer is very simple, and it consists of two letters:noand the rest is just some fake-hype that all ya lovers of so called "comparison" can gobble all You want - but that will not change the truth, which is:Michael AIR Jordan is the best player ever to play the gameMichael Jordan & Scottie Pippen are the best duo ever to play the gameMichael Jordan & Scottie Pippen & Dennis Rodman are the best trio ever to play the game- so while everyone is talking nowadays about some big3s, this one is The Biggest 3 ever ! :-)Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen & Dennis Rodman & Phil Jackson are the best quartet = Golden4and whether it'd be the Lakers team now or before or Miami now or before or Spurs, or whatever - they would clearly have lost to The Chicago BULLS as those guys simply combine into and form The Greatest Basketball franchise Team of all-time !!! !!!The Best Basketball Team of all-time just after The Dream Team !and all ya haters: face it, deal with it, and learn to live with it ! end of story
@ASSHOE AYE IF HE WERE 16 YEARS YOUNGER HE WOULD STILL GET DUNKED ON BY LEBRON KOBE AND MOS DEF BLAKE! I FUCKS WITH JORDAN BUT THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH
DONT CARE IF MJ PUTS HIS STAMP ON SHIT WHAT ABOUT THESE PAST RETRO BULLSHITTY ASS MATERIALS WE BEEN GETTING FIX THAT PROBLEM THEN START ON ANOTHER SHOE BTW THE NEW XX8 LOOKS ASS!
@jumpman67 i was not hating on mj at all. was just stating i do not think kb sticks around past 2 years out. all your points are fact and valid. i think mamba trys to pass mj on all-time scoring list. he hopes to get one more chip and calls it a career. i was not trying to hate on mj at all. just saying i do not think kb will stick around so kyrie can light him up for 45+ . thats all. sorry!
i love mj like the next guy but his final year with the wiz kb lit him up for 42 at half and finished with 55 thru 3 qrts back in 2003. remember watching that game like it was yesterday. that said, for those that think the mamba is sticking around past 2 years is crazy! he will up mj on the scoring list and hopefully get one more ring and i think he heads to hollywood!!
Rumor has it, the black cat was so disgusted with these, he wore sweat so as not to have to look upon them. True story.
And wonders why his team suck so bad. Dude probably literally interrupts practice to relive his moments instead of giving some of the players some pointers.
i think anyone who likes the kobe shoes should like these you can do the same type of colorways on this jordan as those i think a galaxy color up would be dope
@SurfBoy23 the greatest basketball franchise of all time? Better than the Lakers and Celtics who has twice as many ships than the bulls? You sound down right ridiculous. No one said MJ wasn't the greatest and of course we all tried to do what he did on the court. But apparently he's more into reliving what he use to do instead of teaching his team the game especially on a mental standpoint. Not to mention for a man to have two sons to play his sport and neither one of em seems to have not one of their father's trait says a lot about MJ. Was he too busy to teach them or afraid they would be better? You decide. Now lets back to this "owner". MJ is the worst GM/Owner in long time. Since GM bobcats has had 19 draft picks, out of the 19 only 10 is in the league, 5 from the ACC, 4 only a ga in double figures and 2 he traded. I mean the ass clown picked Brandon Weight instead of Joakim Noah and who the hell is Alexis Aninca?! So lets get things straight; 1)MJ is a great player 2)we all wanted to be like him but 3)he was and always will be a selfish individual (look at his sons for crying out loud) 4)he sucks something awful as a GM and an owner. But don't worry, he played in and help create some dope sneakers.
@UAINTGOTTHESEON313 @ASSHOEyep your right but in the end they all gonna be losers and their names will be soon forgotten, i ask you 23 jordan i ask you shoes air jordan, i ask you Nike Air ..jordan. i ask you Chicago bulls jordan i ask you basketball jordan, you won't even be here if it wasn't for the name that echoes in you Michael "Air" Jordan.
@Jonathan Broder What's your point? Jordan took off 5 years in his prime and still has more rings than Kobe. He also has more MVP's and more scoring titles. Jordan was defensive player of the year. Jordan NEVER lost in the finals. Kobe lost game 6 in 2008 by 39! Kobe is a fucking shadow of MJ. Don't forget it ass wipe.
@asshoe No, it would be a good match-up. Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all-time, don't get me wrong, but he's not Jesus Christ. He can still get crossed, he can still get dunked on. I hate when people play NBA 2K12 and 13 and think Jordan played like that night in and night out. I think Lebron and Kobe would have been viable threats to Jordan in his prime or not. If you're really a hooper then you feel me to some degree.
@muthatrucka Actually the design team wasn't planning on going in the sleeve direction, they had a few samples of different options and MJ said he liked the sleeve the most and that was the direction he wanted the shoe to go.
@muthatrucka has anyone else noticed that these look like a complete different colorway than the XX8 that was announced? Looks like either 3M or Galaxy colorway almost????? Or am I trippin???
@khafre422 swear i only see him play against gerald henderson
@justwin you are a cold blooded killah cant believe you done try him like that lol but good point tho
@JulianScott yeah you do a galaxy color up and you'll look like you're getting ready to be a backup dancer for Lady Gaga.
@pdinero @UAINTGOTTHESEON313 @ASSHOE , finesse don't make you the greatest. The rams with Kurt Warner had finesse. The Oregon Ducks have finesse. It the will to win, athletic ability and being mentally ahead of your opponent that makes you great. The guy had all of that. Still say he would have to put in work against LBJ and Kobe though.
@Nick_II_Quick @asshoe let see ah jordan fought against the isiah's detroit, magic johson's Lakers, drexler's portland, ewing's New york, Barkley's Phoenix , kemp & paytons's supersonic, stockton & malone's utah Jazz, and some guys that are hall of famers. NBA championship can never get better with this series. Yap kobe & lebron would a great match-up with jordan's prime but we cannot tell if they can handle Jordan at that time all defensive and scoring leaders, i feel you like a hooper to another kobe & lebron are the best players you have now but to be the greatest that's something.... his name was, but echoes for life then you are someone.
@BigDMoney208 Do you remember a few days ago SN posted images of two other colorways, they they had the wavy lines all over them? That's what it appears these are. And as for galaxy, that will be over by the end of this year, Nike knows not to beat a dead horse.
Lmao bruh you are blind as hell. You're literally writing a book saying "chapter 1; Michael Jordan is the best player ever. Chapter 2; I love Michael Jordan and I don't care what anyone says. Chapter 3; nobody will be better than Michael Jordan. Chapter 4; he played with the greatest franchise. Chapter 5; I love Michael Jordan." Lmao "just after the dream team" as if basketball was evolved back in 92 internationally. Child please! Only 2% of international players were in the NBA and none of em started. So that dream team u speak of we're basically playing high schoolers and this beloved franchise team you speak of had different players in the 1st and 2nd run so how the hell can you define them as a franchise team? Know your info before you start talking. Not to mention MJ and bulls began to peak after Bird retired, in 92, I. Thomas in 94, and Magic had HIV. But no way the bulls would beat the late 80s lakers and Celtics.
@justwin will You quit your senseless yaping - that's exactly the gobbling I was talking about .,, 1. The Greatest Basketball franchise team of all-time means: if You take any squad there was put together (including any celtics or lakers squad of the '80s - though those would definitely be interesting and often could be tight games) The BULLS squad would win it. , 2. we are talking about playing ball not managing the club, neither we are about father qualities whatsoever of MJ - about which You surely have a "thorough and legitimate" knowledge sucked out of Your own thumb I guess (it's not like You're MJ's psychiatrist or close family friend or whatever) , 3. so speaking of his sons sport paths and MJ's approach to it - besides the fact that nobody is talking about it here - this is non of Your nor mine business. Who said it's MJ's goal or obligation to make basketball players out of his sons at all .... what if they'd like to be e.g. accountants playing chess ... I suggest You judge Your own life before You start judging the decissions of others ... - so if something is ridiculous here, it is that judgemental yapping of Yours (which is also quite frankly pathetic) ...
@Jumpman67 I already said he was the greatest, smart guy. Dude said Jordan makes Kobe and Lebron look like trash and you know that shit ain't true.
