Vans already teamed up with his wheels sponsor Spitfire and fellow Anti-Hero Julien Stranger, so it’s only right for Thrasher’s 1992 Skater of the Year, John Cardiel to offer up an Off the Wall collab. The Vans Sk8-Mid Pro and Era Pro have arrived in workwear-inspired makeups that reflect why Stranger once referred to him as “An outdoorsman [with] that hearty spirit of America.” Red Wing and heavy-duty canvas/suede, respectively, both add corded laces and a couple different takes on how to use brass eyelets, the kind of attention to detail that’ll resonate with buyers at select retailers like Atlas.
