Fresh off the red pair, the adidas Originals Americana Hi 88 tries on another monotone suede getup for the holiday season.  Whereas the red pair went for more of a primary color instead of a seasonal tone, these Gold Rod Americana 88s have the autumn look built right in.  This golden yellow mix of suede and a bit of leather looks every bit as good as it has on the other 1980s adidas basketballers that’ve gotten similar treatments, so we can only hope these continue to provide a Three Striped answer to Nike Sportswear’s old school hoop catalog and the growing contingent over at Reebok Classics.  Have another look with more images after the jump, then pick up a pair from Originals accounts like Wish.
