Daley Thompson and Sebastian Coe aren’t household names like Michael Jordan or even Usain Bolt, but these men are unforgettable to serious sports fans. Both guys won Olympic golds in both the 1980 and ’84 Games in their respective disciplines (decathlon and 1500M), so with the latter’s 30th anniversary this year, it’s a good time to resurrect a shoe both men endorsed. The Patta x Diadora N9000 also serves as a tenth anniversary celebration for the Dutch sneaker boutique, which uses premium Made in Italy versions of the original materials in a blue, white, black, grey and red colorway that includes an ‘Sn’ footbed graphic said to represent Patta’s 10th (though that element’s atomic number is 50). Click in for a closer view and be ready for these to release at their Amsterdam boutique and online on Saturday. Also, be sure to check out the Patta x Stussy pop up in NYC that’s opening tomorrow, January 23rd.
diadora has been bought by Geox and produce in China 95% of their products.
Good to know they kept their factory in Italy.
Unlike adidas they moved to cheap China. I hope they reopen their factories in France and Germany to bring back their prestige.
Glad to see Patta has continued branching out to more underrated brands. The Kangaroos Woodhollow collab they did a while back was on point. These diadora's look mighty fine too.
