Let’s back-track to mid-2009 to a Quickstrike release of the Nike SB Blazer Mid; this release was the perfect sneaker for the sneaker-crazed maniac living that ‘Swoosh Life’, which was embroidered on the heel and embedded onto the insole. Today, we revisit the Swoosh Life Blazers in the form of a sample that features one of the more head-scratching blunders we’ve ever seen out of Nike’s factories; the ‘Swoosh’ and ‘Life’ embroidery on the heel have been mistakenly reversed, reading ‘Life Swoosh’ instead. In addition, the midsole on this sample is a solid yellow, whereas the released version utilizes rubber gum. We’ve got a complete look at this unreleased sample below, so take a look and check out the listing from cheapskates9107 on eBay.

Of the six leather vintage Blazers Nike Sportswear has released over the past three-plus years, British sneaker suppliers Size? are responsible for two-thirds. Their slice of the pie grows a bit larger today with word of another exclusive colorway, this time on the Nike Blazer Low VNTG silhouette. These are basically a chopped-down version of the HO09 drop that also paired Sail and black. And just as their height is shorter, so is the supply, but as of right now this old school take on early 2012′s signature colorway is available at Size?

With their relative rates of release over the first few months of 2012, it started to seem for a moment that the Nike Blazer Mid AB‘s spot as Nike Sportswear’s go-to medial-zippered lifestyle classic had been filled by the new All Court 3. But this new pair of the All Court-like toe-capped Blazer AB suggests otherwise, its simple all-over microperfed suede plus golden leather lining the kind of recipe NSW is known to utilize across multiple colorways. This Lush Teal edition is a great start to the summer season, a practically neutral pop for almost any outfit that’s available now from Kicks-crew.

For years now, the differences between Nike Sportswear’s Blazer Highs and Mids have been sufficiently subtle that not only have people openly asked which is which and if there’s any real difference, but even 30 seconds of googling should give you a handful of mislabeled results. To make matters worse, Nike SB introduced a cupsoled Blazer in 2010 whose official name is ‘Blazer CS’, but whose height made mixing a ‘Mid’ in there all to easy. Meanwhile, the ‘High’ has always been known simply as ‘Blazer SB’, so only the most detail-oriented devotees of this basketball-born style would notice these differences. The Nike SB Blazer Mid LR looks to make things easier, both on your mind and your soles, with a new distinctive cut that adds LunarLon cushioning inside its vulcanized soles to bring them up to date with other such setups like the P-Rod V LR and Omar Salazar LR. Like those, these will see a wider distribution and are no longer fitted with ‘NIKE SB’ branding; what’s your reaction to this latest piece of the SB restructuring puzzle? via EUKicks

Sneaker News has shown you a fairly large set of upcoming Nike Blazer High VNTG releases this month, each set offering a subtle variation from the formula that’d been this series foundation for about three years. In the case of the pair pictured above, it’s one of three to come with canvas uppers and suede relegated to the overlay sections, and that new material selection appears to have been all for the best on this new Cool Grey release. Its worn appeal transfers perfectly to this new build and a purple sole and embroidery give these a frosty finish. More images follow the jump below, where you can see these in detail before purchasing from a Nike Sportswear retailer like Titolo.

The Nike Blazer High VNTG was introduced in 2009 and except for two leather pairs that year, followed the same formula for each of its releases through last November: add a Sail Swoosh, sole, tongue and laces to a single-colored suede upper. The rustic shades combined with pre-yellowing on those off-white parts gave these an old-meets-new vibe, and then a pack of them apparently made of spare parts from earlier releases flipped the script just before last Thanksgiving. A short while later, new leather pairs released, word of nylon drops to come surfaced and now just a few months later we’ve arrived at a point where just days after the first canvas-uppered pairs have dropped, here’s another duo with a brand new twist on the old recipe. These add tonal Swooshes to compliment your choice of lime green or bold red and both are available now at select Nike Sportswear dealers like Size?

It’s been less than two weeks since the last black suede Nike SB Blazer with red accents hit retailers, but the fact that this new drop looks very little like its predecessor is a testament to the power of colorblocking. These new Blazer SBs mix a Sea Crystal Swoosh into the bred base, but with the ultimate versatility tertiary colors like that teal shade possess, the other two colors could have been almost anything and the Swooshes still would have fit. They also serve to soften the ultra-aggressive Chicago-style look, which should effectively make these a better match for more items in your wardrobe. Let us know whether you prefer this more subdued approach compared to the black/Team Red edition while you’re checking out more images after the jump, and grab this April 2012 release from a Nike SB stockist like CNCPTS.

Every April, Nike SB fans eagerly await the special edition 4/20 release that for the last few years, has been one of the highlights for Nike SB’s yearly output. But with Nike SB going through quite a transitional phase, there hasn’t been much news of a special edition SB Dunk, although we will be treated to a ‘Hemp 4/20′ version of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski inspired by the green colorway of the ’04 trio of SB Dunks. April’s still a solid month, with the Deep Burgundy SB Dunk High, four Janoskis, and a slew of other skate-friendly releases like the Team Edition in Old Royal, and the Red/White Zoom Koston One, so check out the Nike SB April 2012 Footwear roll-out and look out for these at SB retailers soon as they’ve already begun to hit store shelves.
