DC Comics x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Killer Croc + Wonder Woman

The ongoing team-up between DC Comics and Converse is one that just makes sense, a pairing of entities that have long since cemented their status in the realm of Americana. The latest looks from the collaboration see Wonder Woman and Killer Croc both getting their own pairs, with the classic canvas of the Chucks used quite literally as a canvas for the graphic approach. Stay with us after the jump for a look at the Chuck Taylor All Star Hi and Low included in this latest drop from DC Comics x Converse and be on the lookout for them starting today at Journey’s retailers nationwide.

Converse Chuck Taylor Premium Black & White Leather

Is the Converse Chuck Taylor the perfect sneaker? It encapsulates both ends of the fashion spectrum, from the classic never-say-die Americana to the tastes of grungy rebellion. These new premium releases lean a bit toward to former end, with full premium leather builds and brown leather Converse All-Star badges on the customary medial sidewall position. The leather-wrapped midsoles also gives these Chucks a bit more of a stylish appeal, as does the leather toecaps. The pressed leather ‘All Star’ license plate on the heel adds the perfect final touch of crispness. Expect these at select Converse retailers like KITH for a price-tag of $125.

UNDFTD x Converse Born Not Made Event Recap

We brought you word of the upcoming UNDFTD x Converse for Footlocker collection earlier on today, marking a historic moment as far as a boutique like UNDFTD linking up with a chain store like Footlocker. We’re back with a bit more background on the range set to release for this three way team up, titled ‘Born Not Made’, which was recently launched at a press event featuring higher ups from each of the involved parties (Converse designer Matt Sleep and UNDFTD founder James Bond to name a few). Follow us after the jump to get some shots from the event, a video spot touching on the history of UNDFTD, and some new shots from the Converse x UNDFTD x Footlocker ‘Born Not Made’ capsule which will impact Wednesday, March 29th.

UNDFTD x Converse For Foot Locker

Puma has garnered quite a bit of attention over the last year for their extensive work with Undefeated, but even before the ten packs of Clydes and two sets of RS hightops, the Five Strikes brand was working with the One Star on a variety of releases with their signature upscale streetwear meets modern militia look. Bringing the unique flavor from sneaker boutique to the nationwide retailers is the Converse x UNDFTD for Foot Locker collection, which carries that same slightly aggressive yet wonderfully neutral style on the Converse Pro Leather hightop and Star Player low, a couple of old school basketball silhouettes that are right up Eddie Cruz and co’s alley. Certainly an eye-opening move for one of the earliest trailblazing sneaker boutiques to join forces with one of the largest sneaker retailers over the last two decades, isn’t it? This partnership will definitely increase the awareness of Undefeated’s five-bar tally logo to casual Foot Locker customers across the nation. Click through for more details like the Pro Leathers’ medial zippers, let us know what you think about UNDFTD linking up with the chain synonymous with mainstream sneaker sales, then check out Eddie’s full interview with HS about topics including the March 29th launch.

Sneaker Con Miami March 2012 Feet

Not long ago we gave you a nice recap of Sneaker Con Miami, but here’s a closer look at what was on the feet of the thousands of event-goers who came out in droves to check out Sneaker Con for themselves. Tons of great selections like the Galaxy Foamposites, SB Dunks, Air Jordan Customs, and other Nike Basketball gems, but some daring sneakerheads rocked two separate shoes, like one notable Air Jordan V ‘Tokyo 23′ paired with the Air Jordan IV ‘Lightning’, one Air Yeezy with the LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Flamingo’, and a duet of Air Jordan XI Low ‘Snakeskins’. We’ve got a major onslaught of some of the world’s best kicks below, so check out the Sneaker Con Miami March 2012 Feet below and let us know what your favorite is!

John Varvatos x Converse All Star Laceless Hi + Sprint Grip Ox

John Varvatos’ collaboration with Converse will remain popular into the forseeable future thanks to subtle variations like these that reflect his signature aesthetic while allowing for multiple degrees of progress.  These new drops pair a couple of Converse All Star Laceless Hi designs cast in canvas with two lowtops done mostly in that same material.  But the overall effect of the Sprint Grip Ox is decidedly different thanks to a leather wrap around the sole and tonal and textural contrasts thanks to suede toes.  Check out all four pairs after the jump and grab yours at finer Converse retailers like Kith.

Stussy Deluxe x Converse Elm

Converse Skateboarding capitalized on the trend toward clean lines and classic silhouettes when it introduced the Elm LS last autumn, and now the sleek one-piece design has been taken a step further by one of the pioneers of skate apparel.  The Stussy Deluxe x Converse Elm skips the traditional Star and Chevron in favor of Shawn’s surname embossed a bit further back than the usual branding.  This effectively lengthens the design by adding more uninterrupted leather, the premium look of which really is the star of this slightly hiking-inspired build.  Black, moss and sand colorways are set to arrive at select retailers on Friday, March 16th, and you can see more shots of each pair after the jump below.  via FRESHNESS

John Varvatos x Converse JP Pro Leather

John Varvatos’ Converse collaborations are typified by premium quality with a well aged look achieved by blackening key elements.  His latest keeps that signature look to a minimum but points just as strongly to the past by applying muted, almost ‘antiqued’ colors along with the kind of broken-in luxury build that’ll have you thinking “They don’t make ‘em like these any more.”  Luckily, they do, and this new round of John Varvatos x Converse JV Pro Leathers in both heights has the kind of timeless appeal that’ll keep them in your rotation for years to come.  Hopefully the same can be said of the Converse by Varvatos collab, and you can grab its latest product at top-tier shops like CNCPTS.
