DC Shoes Cement Pack Admiral WT + Sector 7 WT

DC Shoes is getting into the newspeak game as well.  With their Cement Pack for Holiday 2009, the DC LIFE Collection reached out to another Nike staple, using a variation of the iconic Safari print to accent these dressy sneakers.  The New DC Admiral WT adds buckled ankle straps bearing the tonal Safari-like ‘Stones’ print, along with the Sector 7 WT lowtop.  Since the themes of concrete and cement drive the theme here, the Stones print is said to represent a ledge worn from grinding.  Both pairs feature classy brogueing to insinuate wingtip dress shoes but would be right at home with some light skateboarding and are available now from select DC LIFE retailers.

Travis Pastrana x DC Shoes The Shoe Bike

How often do you see a guy doing backflips on a bike that has ‘tires’ made of skateboarding sneakers?  Once, apparently, as DC Shoes-sponsored master of all motorsports Travis Pastrana is seen above doing that very act, somewhere deep in the Utah desert.  Designed by Pastrana and Ken Block, ‘The Shoe Bike’ was built with DC lowtops attached to a six-spoked hub and appeared on MTV’s ‘Nitro Circus’ and one of DC’s currently-running print ad campaigns.  Peep the up-close photos and video of the making, use and destruction of this crazy sneaker-wheeled dirt bike, all after the jump.  via UrbanIndustry

Mike Shinoda x SURU x DC Shoes Xander Remix Series

Mike Shinoda and DC Shoes have had a productive ongoing collaboration for a couple of years now.  From kicks that benefitted his alma mater to all the other Shinoda Remix joints, we’ve gotten to see what the musician has to offer in terms of sneaker design.  With this DC Xander, the Linkin Park co-frontman chose a mix of leathers and nylon, all in black, to serve as the base for some white and blue contrast hits.  You can find MS and SURU detailing all over the shoe and its 500 pairs will release exclusively at the LA-based retailer between November 20th and December 20th of this year.  SURU is doing a pre-sale for online orders only, right now.  Stick with Sneaker News for updates.

DC-Life_HO09_LOW-Vis#7B3165

DC LIFE is coming at you this holiday season with a pack that matches the range of driving conditions you might experience with winter weather approaching.  Dubbed ‘Hi-Visibility or Lo-Visibility’, this split matches the duo of twosomes (of pairs!) of Admiral TX and Xander TX hightops.  The Hi-Visibility joints are the same kind of flourescent lime you’d see at modern traffic signals while their blacked out cousins pick up just a touch of pink from their sockliners.  Expect all four pairs at select DC retailers soon.

DC Shoes LIFE Collection Sixpack by PMKFA Admiral + Sector 7

Despite having drastically different names, the DC Shoes Admiral hightop and Sector 7 lowtops look pretty similar.  They share a toebox, sole and basic profile, and frequently show up in the same colour.  This time, they’re paired in a collaboration with Michael ‘PMKFA’ Thornsby for France’s Sixpack.  Both kicks go with a smooth mix of micro-perforated and dimpled grey leather.  The Admiral has a tonal sole, while the Sector 7 opts for a translucent purple sole that steals the show.  Expect these to drop along with a few tees and New Era fitted caps at DC LIFE retailers soon.

DC Shoes Admiral Sport Chrome January 2010

A couple of years ago at the height of ‘Bling’, these might have gotten you kidnapped.  As it stands, all-chrome treatments have emerged in luxury markets, but the above pictured kicks might not be quite enough to spark violence.  We’re not taking anything away from the DC Shoes Admiral Sport, which is sufficiently shiny that narcissists and funhouse enthusiasts might be stuck following you around, staring at your every step.  Just a little bit of red along with a woven ankle strap bring these back down to Earth, but you can be sure that people will be calling these your ’space boots’.  They’ll drop on New Year’s Day 2010 at DC LIFE retailers.

DC Shoes Xander TX Flourescent Lime Spring 10

Lemar and Dauley’s double shot of DC Shoes Xanders earlier this year relied on a tennis theme, but this latest pair really looks the part.  Sure, the earlier edition featured clean suede and racquet-like netting, but this in-house effort from DC instantly evokes tennis with its neon yellow/green woven nylon upper.  The netting is still on this pair too, doubling the on-court vibe.  Silver touches and just a tiny taste of orange finish these out quite nicely.
