DC Shoe Co. Pro Rider, Ryan Smith is introducing his second signature Pro Model for the brand, the ‘Smith 2.0′. The shoe appears to be influenced heavily by one of the best skate shoes of all time, the Vans Half Cab. In their attempt to design a similar shoe with todays technology and standards the Smith 2.0 features a better shape, a more durable body, and more padding and cushioning for extra comfort. The shoe takes on where the Smith 1.5 left us, but adds a bit more height for enhanced ankle support. The upper features Super Suede or Action Leather for enhanced durability and abrasion resistance. Internal elastic straps hold down the tongue for added foot stability. An abrasion resistant sticky rubber bottom provides excellent ground contact, wear, and flex. Available now in Maroon, Black, or Charcoal.

We’ve heard little from the UK based boutiques lately while the bigger chains such as Size? and JD Sports make all the noise with special colorways and collaborations. Even more sad is the recent closing of the famed Foot Patrol. But UK based Gloria’s is still holding it down and recently collaborated with DC shoes on the low profile DC Gatsby which features a nice array of colors. The upper features a neutral grey and a micro-perf white leather while the sole makes a statement with the sea blue. Look for this collaboration to launch this coming June. Via Sneaker Freaker

DC Shoes has teamed up with Mid-Atlantic retailer, Commonwealth, to release two dope new versions of the Gatsby. Two models will be releasing at both C’Monwealth locations (Virginia Beach & Washington D.C.) on February 21st. Although the models are somewhat similar the choice of colors for each makeup is what separates the two. The overall collaboration was inspired by the Eames couple (husband and wife) and a particular fabric entitled the “Dot Pattern” founded by Ray Eames in 1947. via Highsnobiety

Hawaii based brand and retailer, In4mation, has gotten together with DC Shoes to put together this dope collaboration. The collaboration most likely stems from DC Shoes’ Double Label Project, which allows for various brands to collaborate with the skate shoe leader, a prime example of this collaborative project is the Brooklyn Projects x DC Shoes collaboration. The colorway selected for the In4mation collaboration is fresh and enticing, using a Brown soft suede mixed with a nice Green for the upper. No word yet on availability, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
