We already know of the long-term contracts signed by these guys, but did you ever wonder about the actual numbers behind these deals?

nike kobe bruce lee comparison 1 Return of Bruce Lee: Kobe 5 vs. Kobe 9 EM

The Nike Kobe 9 EM will be making its debut this weekend in a colorway that might not be familiar for neophytes of the Nike Kobe line. The black/yellow version looks rather like a reprisal of the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 “Bruce Lee” pair, although this time around they’re missing the Game of Death style scratches to make the look complete (For what it’s worth Nike isn’t making any official mention of a Bruce Lee connection). Continue reading to see a couple of side by side comparison shots on the two pairs and then tell us down in the comments which of these black/yellow Kobe sneakers you’re feeling more.

nike basketball elite hero 2014 Nike Basketball Elite Series Hero Collection

Acting as the sequel of sorts to the Nike Basketball Elite Team collection is the Nike Basketball Elite Series “Hero Collection”, which reprises last year’s approach that featured the likes of Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James transforming into superhuman figures. The Kobe 9 Elite “Hero” is a wolf grey/camo affair with some pop art inspiration, the KD 6 Elite “Hero” features a reinforced body with some Kevlar fibers, and the LeBron 9 Elite “Hero” is sort of a fiery upgrade to the traditional Heat palette what with the burning bright tones utilized. For a while there, the Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon IV had a little bit more spotlight than your normal takedown sneaker from the Nike Kobe line, as the model was the only new low-cut silhouette from that line. The Nike Kobe 9 EM is on its way though, so we’re anticipating that this Venomenon will have a little bit more trouble grabbing your attention in the near future. Hoping to do so is this black/university gold colorway that almost looks like a reverse of the “Bruce Lee” theme. Continue reading to get an additional set of images on this pair and then give us your thoughts on them down in the comments.
