Walt Frazier did lead the New York Knicks to their only two NBA Championsihps, but he was far from unbeaten in his Hall of Fame career. But Clyde’s classic Puma signature sneakers are most certainly Undefeated, as this latest collection of UNDFTD x Puma Clydes marks eight packs in the past ten months. The latest trio goes with leather uppers and contrasting snakeskin Formstripes plus white soles, the kind of simple yet expressive appeal that’s kept these lowtops in style for nearly four decades. Last year was a huge one for the Puma Clyde thanks to the limitless UNDFTD releases, so which model from the German-born sneaker company will hit the hardest in 2012? It may be a bit too early to tell, but keep your eyes on the Puma Basket Classic City, a no-frills lowtop in the same vein as the ubiquitous Clyde. Our first peek at the sneaker for this year sees a nice tumbled leather applied to the upper in the tone of dark denim, the color which all but dominates the top half. Will we see a Puma Basket Classic City revival on the same scale of what the Clyde saw in 2011? Only time will tell, but for now hit the jump for the full look at Puma’s latest and grab these now from SneakersNStuff.

Do you like your Formstripes in a contrasting color, or would tonal suede better satisfy your preferences? If the answer happens to be the latter, you’re gonna love the next set of Puma Clyde Script releases, a trio that reprises the same basic colorways we saw on last summer’s colorways but opts to keep the contrasts to the white sole and the newly added toecap (hence the ‘TC’). Curious to see the script flipped, so to speak, with this batch of Clydes adding a feature common to a variety of basketballers even older than itself; how do they compare to the original? Let us know when you click through to see all three individually, and stick with Sneaker News for word on their availability. via Kenlu

Next Monday’s Chinese New Year is the earliest celebration in 45 years, so that gives sneaker manufacturers just enough time to surprise us with a few last-minute releases before the Year of the Dragon gets underway. Puma becomes the latest to join the party with this shoe and jacket combination, both done in the color most commonly associated with modern China. The Puma Suede and T7 jacket each offer their own take on vibrant red, the former opting for a woven suede that hints at dragon scales, and the latter offering a variety of graphic details both tonal and in contrasting gold. Click through and you’ll be able to see more photos of both items, then hit up your overseas connects to obtain them from Puma Hong Kong. via HB

The latest shot has been fired in the weight-wars of the sneaker world, with Puma pumping out the new Puma Bolt Lite collection. The four sneakers included in the capsule are quite the update from the sort of retro fare we’ve seen from the likes of UNDFTD over the past year, proving that the German brand is still every bit a contender in the realm of modern runners. Again utilizing the black and yellow combo characteristic of the Bolt collection, even the hightop version here clocks in lighter than the Nike Lunar Flow (check the photos after the jump for proof). Continue reading to get a good look at all four and grab these now from German retailer 43 Einhalb.

Puma has enjoyed a particularly strong year for a couple of its classics, thanks to some key collaborations and an overall commitment to quality that keeps these six-decade veterans relevant. The Puma Suede Classic Eco comes in a well-named colorway that combines Chili Pepper red suede with a Forever Blue Formstripe. The former fairly accurately denotes the caliente appeal of this pair’s bold, velvety upper, while the latter is a reminder that this silhouette will be around as long as there’s leather with a shaggy nap. Click through and you can see more of this true OG after the jump, then grab a pair from TGWO.

Yo dawg, we heard you like sneaker lists, so we put sneaker lists inside a sneaker list to create a sneaker list of sneaker lists. Complex Magazine adores lists like rotund children embrace pastries, so throughout the second-half of December, they hit up some of their in-house squad members as well as some notable sneakerheads in the game to run down six distinct lists of Top 10 Sneakers Of 2011. DJ Clark Kent, Ronnie Fieg, Frank The Butcher, Matt Halfhill, Joe La Puma, and Russ Bengston all dropped their respective two cents for this feature, so check out all the lists below and let us know which of the six you relate with the most!

Puma isn’t known for making their classics into newfangled hybrid mashups like Nike Sporstwear and adidas Originals, but the one they have put out there is still one of the most seamless combinations. The Puma Disc Blaze LTWT combines the lightweight, breathable construction of the Faas 500 with the distcinctive dial-in laceless enclosure system from the Disc Blaze to create one of the most futuristic shoes on the market. Three new colorways for spring feature white soles and toes along with black Formstripes and smokey grey translucent Disc fasteners, each adding its own two-toned accent hits. Pairs with magenta/orange and lime/teal hits go for a more tonal look compared to the blue/red edition that ends up with a USA vibe, and you can see them all in greater detail after the jump. via Solebox

The regular players of the sneaker custom games are Air Jordans (the recent AJ6s we’ve seen were incredible) and the Air Force 1. Sneaker customizer Jonathan Carrington decides to think a bit outside the box and go with the Puma Blaze Of Glory, a celebrated cult-hit of Puma’s early 90′s catalog. Inspired by the Pacific, Carrington goes with a ‘Maui Magma’ theme, combining a Hawaiian theme with the hot red lava colorway on the midsole and the upper wings. Carrington realizes he’s taking somewhat of a risk by featuring a shoe that isn’t widely popular, but he states ‘it’s either all in or none at all’ with his custom creations. Check out the pics of the Puma Blaze Of Glory ‘Maui Magma’ customs below and let us know what you think.

With every sneaker brand out there excavating their archives to allow for a wider variety of available models than at any point in history, there are plenty of competitors in the market space occupied by the Puma Suede. But when the German Cat applies a premium coating of its namesake material, this classic basketball shoe is indeed hard to beat. A set of new Suedes done up in simple colorways with deluxe treatments are on tap for early next year, bot hightops and lows maximizing their two-tone palettes with traditional cotton laces and a white cupsole. Click through and you’ll be able to see eight pairs for 2012, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for the US release date. via FNG
