LaMelo Ball Nods To Los Angeles With The PUMA MB.03 “Sparks”

The California native recognizes the women of LA with a blend of purple and yellow.

LaMelo Ball Nods To Los Angeles With The PUMA MB.03 “Sparks”

The NBA and WNBA have always been tied, but initiatives to bring the two leagues closer have taken off in recent years. While basketball executives stir buzz through plots like the Steph Curry vs Sabrina Ionescu shootout, sneaker brands’ increased attention towards WNBA athletes has greatly informed the design of basketball shoes at large.

This claim is made evident on the latest Puma MB.03 colorway, designed as a clear tribute to the Los Angeles Sparks, LaMelo Ball’s hometown WNBA squad. The team’s signature purple and gold palette (inspired by the Lakers) takes to various elements, and secondary orange accents deliver unique Sparks distinction. Purple lining and sole treatments frame an otherwise all-gold upper to produce yet another flamboyant look in lockstep with LaMelo’s signature offerings to date.

The Puma MB.03 “Sparks” is set to release on April 5th in full family sizing for $125. Until then, enjoy official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page for a full view of all upcoming Puma deliveries.
